Hello! I'm Nataly, host of our hostel, a small refuge full of love, nature, and collaboration located in Villarrica, southern Chile, in the beautiful Araucanía region.
Since I was little, I felt a deep connection to the world of hospitality thanks to my mother, who worked for more than 25 years in a hostel. Over time, that calling transformed into my way of life. Today, our hostel is the result of many dreams, lessons, and encounters.
Our hostel was born as a space of support, expansion, kindness, and cooperation, inspired by the invisible network of fungi that connects and nourishes the forest. This is how we want you to feel here: connected, supported, and growing. It's a place where listening, simple beauty, and shared life are valued, and where travelers arrive as guests and leave as part of a community.
Furthermore, living in Villarrica is a privilege. This city combines the best of urban life with the tranquility of the natural environment. We are surrounded by lakes, rivers, hot springs, and volcanoes, with native forests that invite you to explore and reconnect with the earth. Here, the people are friendly, there's a strong presence of Mapuche culture, and a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. There are local fairs, cultural activities, and a diverse community that values conscious living. If you're looking for a place to slow down, enjoy nature, and share with people with similar values, Villarrica is a gem.
We welcome people from all over the world seeking to reconnect with themselves, with nature, or with other ways of living. In addition to accommodation, we promote conscious experiences, outdoor activities, mycotourism, creative workshops, and authentic meeting spaces.
We have a team of volunteers who contribute their energy to keep the magic of the place alive. Here, we care for each other, listen to each other, and create together. ¡Hola! Soy Nataly, anfitriona de nosotra hostal, un pequeño refugio lleno de amor, naturaleza y colaboración ubicado en Villarrica, al sur de Chile, en la hermosa región de La Araucanía.
Desde pequeña sentí una conexión profunda con el mundo de la hospitalidad gracias a mi madre, que trabajó durante más de 25 años en un hostal. Con el tiempo, ese llamado se transformó en mi forma de vida. Hoy, nosotra hostal es el resultado de muchos sueños, aprendizajes y encuentros.
Nosotra hostal nace como un espacio de apoyo, expansión, buen trato y cooperación, inspirado en la red invisible de los hongos que conecta y nutre el bosque. Así queremos que se sientan aquí: conectados, contenidos y en crecimiento. Es un lugar donde se valora la escucha, la belleza simple, la vida compartida, y donde los viajeros llegan como huéspedes y se van como parte de una comunidad.
Además, vivir en Villarrica es un privilegio. Esta ciudad combina lo mejor de la vida urbana con la tranquilidad del entorno natural. Estamos rodeados por lagos, ríos, termas y volcanes, con bosques nativos que invitan a explorar y reconectar con la tierra. Aquí la gente es amable, hay una fuerte presencia de cultura mapuche y se respira un ambiente acogedor y relajado. Hay ferias locales, actividades culturales y una comunidad diversa que valora la vida consciente. Si buscas un lugar para desacelerar, disfrutar la naturaleza y compartir con personas con valores similares, Villarrica es una joya.
Recibimos a personas de todo el mundo que buscan reconectar consigo mismas, con la naturaleza o con otras formas de vivir. Además de alojamiento, promovemos experiencias conscientes, actividades al aire libre, micoturismo, talleres creativos y espacios de encuentro auténtico.

At our hostel, we deeply value human encounters and cultural diversity. We believe that each person who arrives brings a unique world with them, and we love creating spaces to share, learn, and grow together.
Real Connection and Community Here, we don't just share tasks, but also moments, ideas, and experiences. We often organize social activities between guests, volunteers, friends, and team members, such as shared dinners, homemade pizza nights, hikes, visits to local fairs, or gatherings around the fire. These moments are ideal for bonding and feeling part of a larger network.
We accompany volunteers on local adventures, showing them the landscapes, routes, and corners we love most in Villarrica and its surroundings. We also guide them in learning about and respecting the Mapuche culture, sharing knowledge about their worldview, their language, their connection to the land, and their living history.
What we share You'll learn about life in a community hostel, organic gardening techniques, Chilean and local cuisine, conscious hospitality tools, and ideas on how to welcome and connect with travelers from around the world. We're also happy to share our stories, language, and customs from southern Chile.
What we hope to learn We're very motivated to learn about your culture, language, traditions, music, ways of seeing life, and also your typical foods. Every volunteer who visits here leaves a mark and helps us expand our perspective. We believe the world is transformed when we share with respect, curiosity, and openness.

En nosotra hostal valoramos profundamente el encuentro humano y la diversidad cultural. Creemos que cada persona que llega trae consigo un mundo único, y nos encanta abrir espacio para compartir, aprender y crecer juntos.
Conexión real y comunidad
Aquí no solo compartimos tareas, sino también momentos, ideas y experiencias. Solemos organizar actividades sociales entre huéspedes, voluntarios, amigos y miembros del equipo, como cenas compartidas, noches de pizza casera, caminatas, visitas a ferias locales o encuentros alrededor del fuego. Estos momentos son ideales para crear lazos y sentirnos parte de una red más grande.
Acompañamos a los voluntarios en aventuras locales, mostrándoles los paisajes, rutas y rincones que más amamos de Villarrica y sus alrededores. También los guiamos en el aprendizaje y el respeto hacia la cultura mapuche, compartiendo conocimientos sobre su cosmovisión, su idioma, su conexión con la tierra y su historia viva.
Lo que compartimos
Podrás aprender sobre la vida en un hostal comunitario, técnicas de jardinería orgánica, cocina chilena y local, herramientas de hospitalidad consciente, además de ideas sobre cómo recibir y conectar con viajeros de todo el mundo. También estamos felices de compartir nuestras historias, idioma y costumbres del sur de Chile.
Lo que esperamos aprender
Nos motiva mucho conocer sobre tu cultura, idioma, tradiciones, música, formas de ver la vida y también tus comidas típicas. Cada voluntario que pasa por aquí deja una huella, y nos ayuda a expandir nuestra mirada. Creemos que el mundo se transforma cuando compartimos con respeto, curiosidad y apertura.

Aide
At our hostel, we're looking for people with a friendly, open heart and a desire to share. No previous experience is required, but you should be enthusiastic about learning, collaborating, and living together in a respectful and conscious way.
The main areas we need help with are:
Cleaning and general organizing tasks for the hostel:
Assist with cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. Help keep the kitchen organized and welcoming for everyone. Assist with washing bed linens and towels.
Gardening and outdoor space:
Assist with the vegetable garden, planting, watering, harvesting, and caring for the garden. Assist with small maintenance tasks or beautifying the patio.
Creativity and space enhancement:
If you have artistic skills (painting, carpentry, decorating), you're welcome to make the place even more magical! We also value new ideas for creating more functional or aesthetically pleasing spaces.
Help with social media and photography:
If you enjoy creating content, taking photos, or recording videos, you can help showcase life in and around our hostel. We love sharing what we do and the beauty of the place on Instagram and other platforms.
Reception and guest experience:
Welcoming travelers, answering questions, and sharing information about the area. Welcoming guests on some activities such as hikes, fairs, or workshops if you're interested in getting more involved.
Exchange and collaboration:
We like working together. Therefore, tasks are often completed as a team, learning and sharing skills in the process. Here, we highly value honest communication and mutual respect. We're always open to new ideas or more creative ways of doing things.
Beyond work, we believe these types of experiences are an opportunity to connect, inspire each other, and build real human networks, just like the mycelium does in the forest.

En nosotra hostal, buscamos personas con buena disposición, corazón abierto y ganas de compartir. No es necesario que tengas experiencia previa, pero sí que te entusiasme aprender, colaborar y convivir de forma respetuosa y consciente.
Las principales áreas en las que necesitamos ayuda son:
Tareas de limpieza y orden general del hostal:
Apoyar en la limpieza de habitaciones, baños y espacios comunes.
Ayudar a mantener la cocina organizada y acogedora para todos.
Colaborar en el lavado de ropa de cama y toallas.
Jardinería y espacio exterior:
Ayudar en la huerta, plantar, regar, cosechar y cuidar el jardín.
Apoyar en pequeños trabajos de mantenimiento o embellecimiento del patio.
Creatividad y mejora del espacio:
Si tienes habilidades artísticas (pintura, carpintería, decoración), ¡serán bienvenidas para hacer del lugar algo aún más mágico!
También valoramos ideas nuevas para crear espacios más funcionales o estéticos.
Ayuda con redes sociales y fotografía:
Si te gusta crear contenido, tomar fotos o grabar videos, puedes apoyar en mostrar la vida en nosotra hostal y sus alrededores.
Nos encanta compartir lo que hacemos y la belleza del lugar en Instagram y otras plataformas.
Recepción y experiencia con los huéspedes:
Dar la bienvenida a los viajeros, responder preguntas y compartir información sobre la zona.
Acompañar en algunas actividades como caminatas, ferias o talleres si te interesa involucrarte más.
💬 Intercambio y colaboración:
Nos gusta trabajar juntos. Por eso, las tareas muchas veces se hacen en equipo, aprendiendo y compartiendo habilidades en el proceso. Aquí valoramos mucho la comunicación honesta y el respeto mutuo. Siempre estamos abiertas a ideas nuevas o formas más creativas de hacer las cosas.
Más allá del trabajo, creemos que este tipo de experiencias son una oportunidad para conectar, inspirarnos mutuamente y construir redes humanas reales, como lo hace el micelio en el bosque. -

Hébergement
Volunteers are housed in shared rooms within the hostel, in a comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment. For everyone's privacy and well-being, accommodation is organized in a shared format but separated by gender, with one room for women and one for men.
The rooms have bed linen and access to shared bathrooms. There are also common spaces such as the kitchen, dining room, living rooms, and garden, where they can relax, share meals, and enjoy community life.
We seek to create a respectful, warm, and safe environment for all those involved in the hostel.
We provide three meals a day. For breakfast, we provide eggs, ham, cheese and bread, which Workawayers can manage throughout the week and prepare according to their own schedules. We are flexible with these ingredients, so if someone does not eat these foods, we can provide suitable alternatives, as long as this is discussed with us in advance.
Lunch is a shared meal prepared for everyone, so a cooked dish is available each day. For dinner, we provide basic ingredients so Workawayers can prepare their own meals in our shared kitchen. They are also welcome to cook and share meals together.

Los voluntarios se alojan en habitaciones compartidas dentro del hostal, en un ambiente cómodo, limpio y acogedor. Para mayor privacidad y bienestar de todos, el alojamiento está organizado en formato compartido pero separado por género, con una habitación para mujeres y otra para hombres.
Las habitaciones cuentan con, ropa de cama y acceso a baños compartidos. También hay espacios comunes como la cocina, el comedor, salas de estar y el jardín, donde se pueden relajar, compartir comidas y disfrutar de la vida comunitaria.
Buscamos crear un ambiente respetuoso, cálido y seguro para todas las personas que forman parte del hostal.
La estadía en nosotra hostal incluye desayuno y almuerzo todos los días.
Para el desayuno, cada voluntario recibe semanalmente una porción individual de jamón, queso y huevos, que puede combinar libremente según sus gustos. Además, cada mañana hay pan fresco disponible para complementar y compartir en la cocina del hostal.
El almuerzo consiste en un plato de comida casera, preparado con cariño y usando ingredientes locales siempre que es posible. Nos gusta ofrecer comidas sabrosas, nutritivas y variadas, que acompañen el ritmo de trabajo y la vida compartida.
Para la cena les facilitamos ingredientes para preparar sus cosas de manera autónoma los voluntarios tienen acceso libre a la cocina para prepararse lo que deseen.
Ofrecemos tres comidas al día. Para el desayuno, entregamos huevos, jamón, queso y pan, que los voluntarios pueden administrar durante la semana y preparar según sus propios horarios. Somos flexibles con estos ingredientes, por lo que, si alguna persona no consume estos alimentos, podemos ofrecer alternativas adecuadas, siempre que se converse previamente con nosotros.
El almuerzo es una comida compartida que preparamos para todos, por lo que cada día ofrecemos un plato de comida. Para la cena, proporcionamos ingredientes básicos para que los voluntarios preparen sus propias comidas en nuestra cocina compartida. También pueden cocinar y compartir la cena entre ellos. -

Villarrica Lake is just 3 blocks from the hostel, and its beautiful waterfront invites you to walk, relax, or simply contemplate the sunsets. You can also explore it by bike on the bike path; we'll lend you one! 🚲
Just one block from the hostel, you'll find craft and local fairs, perfect for discovering handmade products, trying regional delicacies, or simply strolling and connecting with the community.
Public transportation options are three blocks away, easily connecting you to nearby cities like Pucón, Lican Ray, or Villarrica National Park, ideal for short getaways and new adventures.
At our hostel, we live in a calm, respectful, and collaborative environment. Here, we value good communication, empathy, responsibility, and shared cleanliness. We are more of a home than a workplace, and we hope that those who visit us will feel at home with us from the heart.
Some important things you should know:
Pets are part of the family; we have two cats, Mara and Isis, and two dogs, Linda and Domi.
We are a drug- and alcohol-free home during work hours.
We maintain break times to ensure a good atmosphere.
We expect everyone to treat the space as if it were their own.

El lago Villarrica está a solo 3 cuadras de hostal, y su hermosa costanera invita a caminar, descansar o simplemente contemplar los atardeceres. También puedes recorrerla en bicicleta por la ciclovía, ¡nosotros te prestamos una! 🚲
A solo una cuadra del hostal encontrarás ferias artesanales y locales, perfectas para descubrir productos hechos a mano, probar delicias regionales o simplemente pasear y conectar con la comunidad.
A tres cuadras hay opciones de transporte público que te conectan fácilmente con ciudades cercanas como Pucón, Lican Ray o el Parque Nacional Villarrica, ideal para escapadas cortas y nuevas aventuras.
En nosotra hostal vivimos en un ambiente tranquilo, respetuoso y colaborativo. Aquí valoramos la buena comunicación, la empatía, la responsabilidad y la limpieza compartida. Somos un hogar más que un lugar de trabajo, y esperamos que quienes nos visitan se integren desde el corazón.

En nosotra hostal también contamos con espacio para hasta 4 vehículos de tamaño normal, ideal para quienes viajan en camper o autocaravana. El lugar es seguro y a pesar de estar en el centro de la ciudad es muy tranquilo y rodeado de naturaleza. Las personas que viajan en camper pueden dormir en el o en el interior del Hostal, dependiendo lo que quieran.
