  Description

  Our organization was founded in Latinovac, Croatia, in 1995
  and received its legal status three years later in 1998. Through its existence, we had many goals, from peacebuilding and personal growth, to environmental
  activism and awareness raising.
  In the last seven years, our activities are mostly based on permaculture, development of local
  community, work with youth and volunteerism.
  
  All activities are based upon an educational and practical part, responding to the principle of
  lifelong learning.
  The goal our organization pursues is to contribute to the community development, connect
  and network with local people, create possibilities for better life and future, providing higher
  quality of living for all generations.
  
  Latinovac is a small village with 60 inhabitants, located in Slavonia region which is the eastern,
  continental part of Croatia. (Slavonia, not Slovenia :)
  Region of Slavonia is characterized by outstanding beautiful nature reserve and protected areas . The
  area has enormous potential for development of rural tourism, biking, hiking and education in
  sustainable and traditional practices.
  There are no street lights in the village; only shops we have are mobile shops few times per day, the
  closest regular shops, post office, pub and ambulance are in Čaglin, approximately 3km, within walking
  distance.

  Aide

  4 Volunteers needed for Festival organization
  
  Call for volunteers to help us organize and implement activities for an upcoming festival!
  On the 26th of August we are co-hosting a festival in a nearby open space. Part of the festival is a marathon race and workshops and activities for children and adults after the race. We are looking for people who are interested in creating fun activities for kids and young people (also maybe some adults). If you have experience as an animator or leading creative workshops (painting, handcrafts, learning a skill) or some sort of outdoor games and sports activities, you will be a great help for us! The stay will be from the 23rd of August until the 28th of August. We will provide food and accommodation. Food will be vegetarian. Any ideas and proposals from you are more than welcome.

  Shared bedrooms in a simple rural housing arrangement (bring your own sleeping bag if possible). Shared bathrooms.
  No smoking or alcohol on the premises (but a smoking area is provided). Food will be vegetarian. Outdoor showers (unless it is too cold outside) :)
