Thank you, Fiona and Bernie, for an amazing Workaway experience which included computer work, ironing, sewing 6 pairs of jeans to learning how to detail a motorbike, detail the interior of their mobile home, putting block out film on windows, washing tiles and chipping away at cement with a hammer and chisel! … read more their time with me letting me appear as an extra on the set of Home and Away at Summer Bay (Australian TV soap show), taking me to Jonah’s famous restaurant, to beautiful Bilgola beach for a swim and coffee and introducing me to their fascinating friends at lunch. They totally embrace the concept of Workaway – sharing and helping others. They have a beautiful home with ocean views, Fiona serves delicious food and Bernie pours the wine!! William is a delightful guest and very happy to help and was keen to learn new skills. We had some interesting conversations and he was happy to meet our friends. We hope to meet William again sometime.

I stayed with Bernie and Fiona for four days and what a great experience it was! Alongside working with good tunes, Bernie showed me around the northern beaches and let me use his surfboards. Elena and Alle are the best! We got on so well and not only did they do the work with such a wonderful attitude they were ao happy all the time. Alle worked well under Bernie's instructions and did things he would never have imagined. Elena is a very kind and caring person whom I became very fond of. Thanks to Fiona and Bernie we had the chance to live a wonderful exchange experience in Australia.
We really loved to stay at their place and spend time with these fantastic people and their sweety dog!

On our return from overseas we needed help to move back into our house. The process of moving was ongoing and at the time David and Jitka arrived we only had matresses for all of us. We always work with our guests. Bernie had a problem with his back but he did say to Jitka more than once not to lift anything too heavy. We were sad that

We really don’t recommend stay with Bernie. We can compare our experience with another six families in another countries and this was the worst.
We haven’t bed, we had to sleep just on the mattress!! Which David had to bring from another floor. If you need internet acces you have to always ask them for hotspot. Or if you don't like to ask several
… read more times a day, you have to go 4km to Mona Vale city there ist free wifi witch is uworking good. Bernie was there just like a boss which commanded to everyone meanwhile he was sitting on the chair and girls were carried heavy things many steps up from cellar to apartment!

We stayed with Fiona and Bernie for an extended weekend, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it.
