Description
My name is Bremley and I come from the beautiful little mountain state of Meghalaya which in Sanskrit means the land where the clouds come home, but I am based in London right now. I have a younger sister Iba and younger brother Aiban who both manage our 300 acre integrated farming agroforestry project from Shillong our hometown in north east India.
I run a a Social Enterprise that provides bespoke services for cooperatives of small hold organic farmers to integrate and expand agroforestry integrated farming systems that bring local products to market and create fair trade linkages with the merging sectors of regenerative supply chains and Agri Ecotourism. We are now planning to build our Eco Village Project to bring in people from around the world who will work with us in scaling up our project site near the Meghalaya - Assam border.
Iba also manages Sainhun Farm a smaller 3 acre farm near Umiarong Village where she has a camp site with 20 bee boxes where she produces Organic Blossom Honey. Aiban also runs Pine Air Shillong Bed and Breakfast an economical place in Shillong near Golf Links surrounded by pine trees where guests can book in advance stay in the city to learn about our Khasi traditional art and culture. You can find Pine Air Shillong in Mawroh on google maps.
We also partner with Banteilut from the Rilum Foundation for Sustainable Development and Mayfareen from Grassroots in Shillong on various climate change and sustainable development projects.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

We need volunteers to help us with the day to day activities in our integrated farming agroforestry project like taking care of the pineapples, rubber trees, orange trees, free range chicken, bee boxes, camping site, etc. The volunteers will be working together with our local management team doing farming, weeding, making fire lines, doing land management, and building our Eco Village Project.

The volunteers can go explore Kaziranga national park where the Royal Bengal Tigers roam in the wild which is about 3 hours drive from our integrated farming agroforestry project site. They can also go hiking to the double decker living root bridges near the Bangladesh border and explore our massive caves and huge waterfalls on the south facing mountains. They are also many beautiful hiking trails like the famous David Scott Trail for the volunteers to explore while enjoying the beauty of our mountains and valleys in the land where the clouds come home - Meghalaya!

The work is damn hard but you come to acquire a taste for it. Food won't taste good until you've worked 3-4 hours a day. Working 5 hours a day is near impossible though. The work is simple: anything apart from rubber trees and… read more
