  Description

  Welcome to our little slice of paradise in Repton.
  
  We’re a friendly family of 4 living on 3.5 lush acres just minutes from the beach in Mylestom and the Bellinger river. Our property features gardens, fruit trees, chickens, and plenty of peaceful green space to relax and enjoy.
  
  We’re looking for easygoing, reliable helpers to assist with a variety of household tasks ~ including gardening, housekeeping, cooking, and small building projects. No special skills needed, just a willingness to pitch in and a positive attitude! Easiest if you have your own transport as there is no public transport here.
  
  In exchange for a few hours of help each day, you’ll enjoy a comfortable stay, good company, and lots of free time to explore the beautiful Bellingen Shire.
  
  We own two dogs, so you have to love those and get plenty of cuddles.

  Our place is a bit of a cultural mash-up, and we love it that way. One of us is Dutch, the other is Australian (with Turkish Cypriot roots), and once a week we have an extended family dinner with our mother-in-law cooking the best Mediterranean food. We are part of the local surf club, so there is always some beach chat or salt in the air, and we have monthly market stalls in Urunga and Bellingen to keep things lively. There is usually music playing — one of us used to own a dance music record store. This is the first piece of land we have owned, and we are learning as we go.
  
  We both run our own businesses (one selling products, the other working as a finance broker), and we try to keep things as sustainable as we can — composting, recycling, growing our own herbs and vegetables, and generally looking after the patch we call home. When the work is done, we are all about good food and good music, enjoyed with family and friends.

  Aide

  We would mostly like help with our land. Weeding, sowing, mowing, looking after the fruit trees and veggies gardens. We are in the garden ourselves as well, and would love some help. We have citrus trees, bananas, avocado's, mango's, and grow veggies seasonally. There are small building projects if you are more interested in building, like creating the right site for the beehive we want to start, as well as fixing fences and building raised garden beds etc.

  Hébergement

  You will have your own rooms on the bottom floor of the house with a private door opening out to the garden ~ perfect for enjoying the fresh air and morning sun. One of the bedrooms has a small bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. Our house is clean and tidy.
  
  We have an infrared sauna on the property which you can make use of (during daylight as we are solar conscious!). We provide a home-cooked dinner at night, and ask that you take care of your own breakfast and lunch.

  We have bikes that you can use, although we live rural so the beach, general store, post office and river are the only places you can really get to.
  
  We have two dogs and chickens so you need to love animals, and lots of dog cuddles.
  
  So many beaches to visit, river swimming holes to jump in and local events to enjoy.
