  Description

  We - Iris and Michael (german couple); already at a somewhat set age - bought a 11.5 ha piece of land in 2014 in the beautiful Valle Rari (Maule region, about 350 km south of Santiago de Chile).
  We want to realize sustainable agriculture, horse breeding and eco-projects. We also plan to rent out vacation homes.
  A house with four rooms, two small bathrooms and a kitchen-living room is already built. Also a small house - already inhabited by friends - and a small shed are nearby.
  We already provide ourselves off-grid with electricity and own well water. But it is not as spartan as it sounds.
  We currently own five horses, two alpacas and a dog and plan to add chickens, cows and sheep.
  
  Nosotros - Iris y Michael (pareja alemana); ya a una edad algo establecida - compramos un terreno de 11,5 hectáreas en 2014 en el hermoso Valle Rari (región del Maule, a unos 350 km al sur de Santiago de Chile).
  Queremos realizar agricultura sostenible, cría de caballos y proyectos ecológicos. También se está considerando el alquiler de casas de vacaciones.
  Ya se ha construido una casa con cuatro habitaciones, dos baños pequeños y una cocina-sala de estar. También una pequeña casa - ya habitada por amigos - y un pequeño cobertizo está cerca.
  Ya nos proveemos de electricidad y agua de pozo propia fuera de la red. Pero no es tan espartano como suena.
  Actualmente tenemos cinco caballos, dos alpacas, un perro y planeamos comprar pollos, vacas y ovejas.
  
  
  Wir - Iris und Michael; schon in einem etwas gesetzten Alter - haben im Jahr 2014 im wunderschönen Valle Rari (Region Maule, ca. 350 km südlich von Santiago de Chile) ein 11,5 ha großes Stück Land gekauft.
  Wir wollen nachhaltige Landwirtschaft, Pferdezucht und Ökoprojekte realisieren. Auch die Vermietung von Ferienhäusern ist angedacht.
  Ein Haus mit vier Zimmern, zwei kleinen Bädern und einer Wohnküche steht schon. Auch ein kleines - schon von Freunden bewohntes - Haus und ein kleiner Schuppen steht in der Nähe.
  Wir versorgen uns bereits off-grid mit Strom und eigenem Brunnenwasser. Aber so spartanisch, wie sich das anhört, ist es nicht.
  Wir besitzen zur Zeit fünf Pferde, zwei Alpakas, einen Hund und planen, Hühner, Kühe und Schafe anzuschaffe

  If you want to help shape a piece of land that has been uncultivated for more than 20 years, this is the place to be.
  Anyone who would like to play an active role in this, help shape the beginnings of an organic farm, has a love of animals and nature, and yet would like to live for a while in a friendly, family environment, is most welcome here.
  
  Cualquiera que quiera ayudar a dar forma a un trozo de tierra que ha estado sin cultivar durante más de 20 años está en el lugar correcto.
  Cualquiera que quiera contribuir activamente a esto, ayudar a dar forma a los comienzos de una granja orgánica, que tenga un amor por los animales y la naturaleza, y que aún así quiera vivir por un tiempo en un ambiente familiar y amistoso, es muy bienvenido aquí.
  
  Wer bei der Gestaltung eines Stück Landes, das seit mehr als 20 Jahren unbewirtschaftet war, helfen möchte, ist hier recht am Platz.
  Wer hierbei tatkräftig mitarbeiten, die Anfänge eines Ökobetriebes mitgestalten möchte, Liebe am Tier und der Natur hat und trotzdem in familiärer, freundlicher Umgebung eine Zeit lang leben möchte, ist hier herzlichst willkommen.

  Hébergement

  We are happy to integrate the workawayers into our daily activities and, if they wish, they can also participate in social rounds at any time.
  For the helper(s) there are two rooms available in our house, which have to share a bathroom. So they are fully involved in the household.
  The preparation of food, cleaning, washing up and laundry are fairly shared between all of us.
  Food and lodging are of course free - and there are plenty of opportunities to sit around the campfire in the evening with a glass of wine and enjoy an asado (Chilean barbecue) every now and then.
  
  Estamos encantados de integrar a los ayudantes en nuestras actividades diarias y, si lo desean, también pueden participar en las rondas sociales en cualquier momento.
  Para los ayudantes hay dos habitaciones disponibles en nuestra casa, que tienen que compartir un baño. Así que están totalmente involucrados en el hogar.
  La preparación de la comida, la limpieza, el lavado de la ropa y la lavandería se distribuyen equitativamente entre todos nosotros.
  La comida y el alojamiento son, por supuesto, gratuitos - y hay muchas oportunidades de sentarse alrededor de la fogata por la noche con un vaso de vino y tomar un asado (barbacoa chilena) de vez en cuando.
  
  Die Workawayers werden von uns gerne in unsere täglichen Aktivitäten integriert und können, wenn sie wollen, auch jederzeit an gesellschaftlichen Runden teilnehmen.
  Für den/die Helfer stehen in unserem Haus zwei Zimmer zur Verfügung, die sich ein Bad teilen müssen. Sie sind also vollkommen am Haushalt beteiligt.
  Das Essenzubereiten, Putzen, Spülen, Waschen regeln wir gerecht unter uns allen auf.
  Kost und Logis sind natürlich frei - und es ergeben sich genug Gelegenheiten, abends mit einem Glas Wein am Lagerfeuer zu sitzen und ab und an ein Asado (chilenisches Grillen) zu gestalten.

  The Valle Rari is an enchanting valley between the Panamericana and the Cordilleras. It is very agricultural.
  If you are looking for pubs, clubs, bars or discos, you will be disappointed here.
  For that there is pure nature. If you love horses, this is the right place. And apart from work we also offer riding excursions.
  The village Rari (about three km away) is a typical Chilean village, which is known far beyond its borders for its crin handicraft (figures, ornaments, jewellery made of horse hair).
  In Panimavida (about 6 km away) there is a thermal bath and a bus station to Colbun, Linares, Talca and Santiago.
  Linares (approx. 25 km) with its approx. 60.000 inhabitants offers a somewhat urban atmosphere with all shopping facilities and a number of markets.
  The provincial capital Talca (approx. 50 km; 150.000 inhabitants) can be described as a big city despite its rather plain appearance.
  Nearby are the Lago Colbun and the Lago Machicura with a lido.
  There are several national parks in the nearer and farer surroundings.
  
  El Valle Rari es un valle encantador entre la Panamericana y las Cordilleras. Es muy agrícola.
  Si está buscando pubs, clubes, bares o discotecas, se decepcionará aquí.
  Para eso hay una naturaleza pura. Si te gustan los caballos, este es el lugar correcto. Y además del trabajo, también ofrecemos excursiones a caballo.
  El pueblo de Rari (a unos tres kilómetros) es un típico pueblo chileno, conocido más allá de sus fronteras por su artesanía en crin (figuras, adornos, joyas hechas con pelo de caballo).
  En Panimavida (a unos 6 km) hay un baño termal y una estación de autobuses a Colbún, Linares, Talca y Santiago.
  Linares (aprox. 25 km) con sus aprox. 60.000 habitantes ofrece un ambiente un tanto urbano con todas las facilidades de compras y una serie de mercados.
  La capital de la provincia, Talca (aprox. 50 km; 150.000 habitantes) puede ser descrita como una gran ciudad a pesar de su apariencia más bien sencilla.
  Cerca están el Lago Colbun y el Lago Machicura con un lido.
  Hay varios parques nacionales en los alrededores más cercanos y más lejanos.
  
  Das Valle Rari ist ein bezauberndes Tal zwischen der Panamericana und den Kordilleren. Es ist sehr landwirtschaftlich geprägt.
  Wer Kneipen, Clubs, Bars oder Discos sucht, muss hier enttäuscht werden.
  Dafür gibt es Natur pur. Wer Pferde liebt, ist hier genau richtig. Und neben der Arbeit bieten wir gerne auch Reitausflüge an.
  Das Dorf Rari (ca. drei km entfernt) ist ein typisches chilenisches Dorf, das weit über seine Grenzen für sein Crin-Handwerk (Figuren, Ornamente, Schmuck aus Pferdehaar) bekannt ist.
  In Panimavida (ca. 6 km entfernt) gibt es ein Termalbad und eine Busstation nach Colbun, Linares, Talca und Santiago.
  Linares (ca. 25 km) bietet mit seinen ca. 60.000 Einwohnern etwas städtische Atmosphäre mit allen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und einer Reihe Märkte.
  Die Provinzhauptstadt Talca (ca. 50 km; 150.000 Einwohner) kann trotz seiner eher Schlichtheit durchaus als Großstadt bezeichnet werden.
  In der Nähe befindet sich der Lago Colbun und der Lago Machicura mit einem Strandbad.
  In näherer und weiterer Umgebung gibt es mehrere Nationalparks.
