We are back on Workawayer.info!
Our children are now much bigger! 22, 20 and 17!
We are a very friendly multi-national family living in Highgate Hill, close to South Bank in the centre of Brisbane. The museums and gorgeous park are nearby. We have moved from Menton in the south of France and before that we were in London, Great Britain and New Zealand etc. so we have travelled and lived in many different countries.
We love the cultural exchange of having workawayers from all around the world and we keep in touch with many of them throughout the rest of their travels and when they go back home.
We live in a fantastic location only a short walk from the South Bank lagoon and parklands (the picture above) and also very near the busy cafes, shops and restaurants of West End. The South Bank train and bus stations are also nearby for easy transport to the city and many other places.
We have bought a large 5 bedroom Queenslander and need help with some handiwork/gardening in this beautiful part of the city. It is an old wooden house with a lot of character in the classic “Queenslander” style, which we are renovating. We would prefer couples with some experience of painting and painting preparation, and any carpentery or general home maintenance skills would be great.
You would be resourceful and use your initiative, be able to apply yourself without supervision and have a great or at least good sense of humour. Also being fun to be around would be an added bonus!
We look forward to welcoming you into our family and sharing some time together whilst you discover the Australian culture.

We are a friendly family who has lived all over the world - the children have 3 passports each. We love cultural exchange and sharing different cultural experiences (food, customs...) with our fabulous workawayers.

Coco is 11 years old. She is friendly, but quite shy. She likes going out in the garden or on the deck, and (mostly) sleeping in quiet corners.
