  ** immediate opening for right person - couple - we are building a boat and need to be goid at sanding and can follow directions on what to do ! *** available now to 23 December
  
  We are a relaxed Swedish/Australian family living in lovely Balmain in a large house just 10 minutes ferry or bus ride to Sydney CBD.
  
  Our family consists of Mum, Dad, and three boys, 17, 15 and & 13 years old. (Zac, Oscar and Ali !) The boys are pretty grow up now and don’t need to be babysat or help , they are polite and respectful.
  
  We currently have projects around fixing boats which requires sanding and painting, washing and polishing . All work is guided by Dave I will show you what’s required.
  
  If you have any additional skills around mechanical electrical stuff, I’m looking to learn and that bonus. Need someone with a” how hard can it really be?” Mindset !!!!
  
  
  
  Other help is in the home itself . What we need is someone to look after the house guided by Anna-Klara cooking, cleaning and washing clothes folding etc.
  
  In general, any handy person skill are a bonus as there are many interesting projects to complete yet the help will mainly be cooking, cleaning and doing household tasks.
  
  
  We have had many travelers and long-term stayers living with us before and it has worked out really well.
  
  
  We are both x-travelers ourselves (10 years on the road traveling together around the world) and we know how wonderful and enriching it is to get to share stories, experiences and backgrounds with others who are doing the similar thing as us. We also know how nice it is when you get to live in a clean, private and un-crowded environment with a warm power shower!
  
  Of course, in exchange for your help around our house we provide and share the clothes washer and drying facilities, unlimited fast and stable internet, bikes etc.
  
  
  The help will be up to 4 hours a day over 5 days, (with two days off after that ) exchange of good quality food and accommodation. We are usually flexible in times to help and you can even help more hours one day and less the next to allow for day trips and job interviews etc. We need you to be able to cook, wash and assist in routines.
  
  Great opportunity to live in a beautiful and central location for free. Walk to the ferries, busses, supermarket, swimming pool, pubs, restaurants, and cafes. Balmain is a lovely suburb surrounded by Sydney Harbour with lots to do.

  Preference will be given to those who can state
  
  1. When they will be or mostly likely be in Sydney and
  2. How long they are looking to stay ? (Approx)
  
  We realise everything is usually up for negotiation however it’s good to get an indication. We generally don’t book people into stay more than two months in advance - so let us know if you are coming in the next couple of months and we can talk!
  
  Also it’s worth noting we have the neighbours cat that visits us from time to time. She is gorgeous and her name is Georgie!!

  We speak Swedish and English at home. We love cultural traditions and the exchange of experiences from travel, food and life! Balmain is a very beautiful picturesque suburb filled with Character Homes, yummy cafes, lush parks, harbour,Public swimming pool and lots more

  Aide

  We are looking for a helper either single or a couple.
  
  We are looking for a helper who can mainly assist in cooking, cleaning, washing car and general help in our home in exchange of a comfortable, private and clean room and good food. Any building and handy skills are highly regarded.
  
  Would suit a single person as we don't have enough projects for two everyday although a second person can stay and take a normal job and pay a little for food.
  
  
  In general, any handy person skill are a bonus as there are many interesting projects to complete.

  You will be staying in your own private room in a fantastic location in Sydney close to the harbour’ with beautiful surrounds. We provide great food and welcome you into our family. We are happy to share some of Sydney’s secret places.
