Hello dear workawayers!
We are a family of 3 living in Laax, a village in a well-known ski resort in the Swiss Alps.
We're looking for warm-hearted persons giving us hands to help for everyday tasks and bring in their skills and interests to embellish our live.
We, this is me, Linda (42), and my beloved kids Mattiu (8) and Annie (7). I'm a geographer and i've an interesting job in a company, where i work mainly in homeoffice. I love mountains and my passion is snowboarding. Mattiu likes being creative in handicraft and Lego and Annie is a sporty bundle of energy. We're all outdoor enthusiasts and love being active in our beautiful surrounding nature. We try to reuse and repair things to give them a longer life and we prefer organic food.
We live in a two families house with a small vegetable garden. A beautiful natural landscape surrounds our home.
Laax offers many possibilities for activities (skiing, biking, hiking, swimming in beautiful lakes, ...) and there are stunning places to visit just nearby. You'll get plenty of ideas by visiting the Laax homepage.

I enjoyed a lot travelling around the world in younger years. I always loved to have an insight in peoples everyday lives and that's what you can do now in our home. I still like cultural exchanges and i feel like hosting workaway people is a great opportunity for it.
Our family loves being outdoors and in the mountain nature. We live in a ski resort and touristic area with lots of possibilities and we take advantage of it and go skiing, biking, hiking, ... you're welcome to join us on our adventures. Depending on how much free time/holidays we have during the weeks you stay with us the activities vary in type and amount.
Note: it's a rather expensive area for skiing and i can unfortunately not cover your ski tickets.

Aide
We need mainly help with our daily household tasks like cleaning, cooking, dishes, laundry, .. That's already quite some work with the daily tasks. Besides, there's enough tasks waiting to be done.
You're welcome to bring in on your skills and interests to help us embellish and improve our live. This can involve some deep cleaning and or ordering projects, small renovations in and around the house, gardening, supervising/creative play with the kids, reparation tasks, snow shoveling, ...
Childcare will at the most be a side task for you as i am around when the kids are and i love spending time with them. Note that some days the kids are with the grandmother or their father (every second weekend and some holiday weeks) and that's the days i'm also possibly working outside home. During school hours i'm mostly around but working for my company. Thus you need to be ok doing task independently and being on your own.

Me and my kids speak rhaeto-romansh at home, a latin language spoken in East Switzerland. We're bilingual, me and the kids speak german fluently (their father is from Germany). I like languages and speak several other languages, which i'd like to practice. If you're interested in learning german i'm also happy to speak german with you.
Hébergement
You’ll be staying in the wooden house (40m2) just a few steps away from our main apartment.. There's your own bathroom with a shower. The view of the mountains from your room is gorgeous. The wooden house is also used as my office sometimes during the day but i'll respect your privacy and will take my laptop somewhere else to work if it's not appropriate for you.
The photos from inside show your room. I haven't yet posted photos of our family living space. Our main apartment 33 years old, not as spacious as the newer wooden house and definitely more chaotic and cluttered.
