Description
We run a small tourism venture in Ghana (west africa). And look forward to invite volunteers to help look after our beachfront accommodation (many possible roles and jobs. cleaning, maintenance, construction, dealing with guests etc). We could certainly use some extra hands as well as helping to improve our ratings.

Interesting museum about Dutch colonial rule in Indonesia and the role of west Africans soldiers. Especially the Indonesian infuence on Ghana and vice versa (for example the technique for batik fabrics brought along by returning soldiers)

Hans Cottage Botel
Located at Cape Coast, Central
The Hans Cottage Botel is located in a serene environment and the collection of plants and birds are beautiful. The setting is pleasant, partly on stilts on a pond, with a swimmingpool and nice greenery. It is actually a restaurant on stilts in a pond with crocodiles, turtles and various bird species (a large colony of weaver Birds building their nests around the water). You can pay to see the crocs being fed. It is easiest to spot crocodiles in the evening or morning, so you may wish to spend the night at the Hans botel The hotel is strategically located, close to well known tourism highlights as Cape Coast, Elmina, Kakum, ---

333 meter long suspended Canopy bridges in top of the trees makes for an exciting and beautiful trail through the park

General assistance with running of our beach house. Doing a bit of promotion for the house and working along with 2 local staff.

Simple Bedroom with fan, it has shower and toilet, your own palm garden and beach.
Happy to provide meals. Just need to find a practical way of doing this as I am not always on site. A suggestion from the volunteer would be welcome (staff would be happy to assist in buying ingredients for example...)

Anna is a reliable and mature person with much experience and therefore great value to any project or enterprise. She helped us a lot with organising, cleaning and refurbishing the beach house without really needing instruction.
We are having a difficult time with tourism levels being at a absolute minimum. So its pure survival… read more
She helped with cleaning, supervising staff, writing short daily reports, playing with our kids and being good company on the side as well.
