  Description

  We, Geertje and Durk, are a retired Dutch couple living in Spain. We’re looking for a responsible and animal-loving couple to help care for our finca, our dogs, and our property.
  
  What We Offer:
  
  A unique opportunity to stay on our 3,500 m² finca in the Spanish countryside, complete with a swimming pool and integrated jacuzzi.
  When we’re at home: You’ll have your own cozy caravan to stay in, set in the peaceful surroundings of our finca. It’s a comfortable space where you can relax after a day of outdoor activities.
  When we are away: A private room inside our home where you can stay, so you can easily care for our dogs.
  A peaceful environment to enjoy rural Spain, with plenty of space to relax and explore.
  Reliable Wi-Fi for digital nomads or anyone needing to stay connected.
  
  What We Ask:
  
  A genuine love for dogs and experience in caring for them. Our dogs need daily walks, playtime, and lots of affection.
  Responsibility and reliability in caring for our home and property. This includes light gardening, keeping the house tidy, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  A proactive attitude—someone who enjoys being outdoors and doesn’t mind helping with small tasks around the property.
  
  Ideal Candidates:
  
  A couple or individual who enjoys an active lifestyle, is comfortable with pets, and preferably has their own camper (max. 8 meters) for when we are at home.
  People who are self-sufficient, respectful, and take initiative.
  Non-smokers (or smokers who are happy to smoke outside).
  Note: We prefer a quiet environment, so we generally do not accept families with young children.
  
  Practical Information:
  
  Internet Access: Yes, we have reliable Wi-Fi, suitable for online work and video calls.
  Animals/Pets: We have friendly dogs and can also accept Workawayers with well-behaved pets.
  Digital Nomads: Our finca is a great place for digital nomads, with quiet spaces to work and a strong internet connection.
  Campervans: Ample space is available for parking campervans up to 8 meters, with access to electricity and water.

  Aide

  We generally expect about 3 hours of work a day, 5 days a week in exchange a beautiful stay at our Finca. In general there are many things to do in the summer such as sawing and splitting wood, weeding, landscaping etc. The tasks are in- and outside and some are physically. I would need motivated helpers, because my husband, who like to work outside. You can relax in the countryside in your free time. Here you can enjoy nature while reading a book, taking a bike ride, walking through the area, etc.

  Hessel (6 mois)

  Meet Hessel:
  
  Hessel is our adorable 6-month-old Labradoodle-Goldador mix (a blend of Labradoodle, Labrador Retriever, and Golden Retriever). He’s incredibly smart, gentle, and full of puppy energy—currently in his playful "teenage" phase! Hessel loves to tease Tjibbe, our other dog, and has a funny habit of barking at the wind and the dark (yes, really!). Despite his mischievous antics, he’s sweet-natured, affectionate, and eager to learn.
  Hessel thrives on companionship, playtime, and patience. If you enjoy the company of a clever, young dog with a big personality, Hessel will quickly become your favorite buddy! 🐾
  
  
  
  
  

  

  Tjibbe (6 ans)

  Meet Tjibbe:
  Tjibbe is our energetic Frisian Stabij who loves attention, running, and his daily routine. Every morning after waking up, he must do his "inspection round" around the property. If he can’t, he becomes restless and anxious. He also enjoys chasing rabbits on our land—it’s his favorite pastime! He’s friendly, playful, and thrives on interaction, so he’ll need plenty of exercise and companionship while you’re here. If you love dogs with personality and energy, Tjibbe will be your shadow!
