  Description

  We are a Dutch couple living in Burgundy since 2018. In March 2022 we bought an abandoned orchard of half a hectare in the small village Saint-Vincent-en-Bresse. We have revived the orchard and are in the process of expanding the food forest.
  The surplus food is donated to food banks or to social projects.
  
  For many years we resided in the countryside of the Belgian Ardennes. While Hubert was running a hotel, Sonja was working as a photographer and teacher. She has written books for photographers wanting to improve their photography.
  
  Nous sommes un couple de néerlandais vivant en Bourgogne depuis 2018. En Mars 2022, nous avons acheté un verger abandonné d'un demi-hectare au petit village de Saint-Vincent-en-Bresse. Nous avons redonné vie au verger et sommes dans le cadre du développement de la forêt alimentaire.
  Les surplus alimentaires sont donnés à des banques alimentaires ou à des projets sociaux.
  
  Pendant de nombreuses années, nous avons résidé dans la campagne des Ardennes belges. Pendant que Hubert dirigeait un hôtel, Sonja travaillait comme photographe et professeur. Elle a écrit des livres pour les photographes qui veulent améliorer leur photographie.

  As a former photographer, Sonja can share her knowledge of photography. If you want to improve your English, French or Dutch, we can also be of help.

  Aide

  We welcome help with new plantings, the maintenance of the orchard and do some minor tasks on the barn.

  Hébergement

  You will stay on the orchard. There is place for a campervan, but if you wish, we can offer you a bungalow tent with a real comfortable bed! There's an outdoor shower and a dry compost toilet.
  There is a kitchen in the barn. If you like, we can cook for you, but as we will not be there all the time you’ll need to do some cooking by yourself.
  
  Vous resterez sur le verger. Il y a de la place pour un camping-car, mais si vous le souhaitez, nous vous proposons une grande tente bungalow avec un vrai lit confortable ! Il y a une douche extérieure et des toilettes sèches à compost.
  La cuisine est dans la grange. Si vous le souhaitez, nous pouvons cuisiner pour vous, mais comme nous ne serons pas là tout le temps, vous devrez faire un peu de cuisine par vous-même.

  There are many interesting opportunities for relaxation in and around Saint-Vincent-en-Bresse. The countryside offers lakes, rivers and woods. Within 10 to 20 km you’ll find the cities Chalon sur Saône, Louhans and Tournus as well as the region where they grow one of France best wines.
  
  Il y a de nombreuses possibilités intéressantes pour se détendre à Saint-Vincent-en-Bresse et aux alentours. La campagne offre des lacs, des rivières et des bois. Dans un rayon de 10 à 20 km vous trouverez des villes (Chalon sur Saône, Louhans et Tournus) et la région où l'on cultive l'un des meilleurs vins de France.
