Description
I work as a musician and sound engineer in Bergen. I recently reacquired my family's house from 1876, and just finished moving in. There is still a lot of renovation to be done.
It's located pretty much in the center of the city. Bergen is a small place and you can walk to most anywhere, or to the city mountains. There is a lot of music and culture going on here, and I can tell you everything about it and where to go :)
NB: I read every request, but I might not always be able to answer everyone. If there is an opening I will contact you :)

You can learn about Bergen, Norwegians, music, life.. I am also very interested in our environment and sustainable living, and have some experience from natural building projects.

Tasks can vary from fixing walls and floors to working in the garden when the weather permits, and other things that comes up. Cooking if you like it, but that's optional.
No special experience is required, I will be around to show you if needed.

Main attractions in Bergen are the 7 mountains, the seaside, historical city centre, and of course a pulsating cultural life with tons of quality live music! Getting around is easy, either by walking, bicycle or bus. Bergen is considered a very safe city. Everyone speaks english well.

I stayed a bit less than 3 weeks at Bård's place. I had a great time. 10 min walking from the city center, it is a great opportunity to explore Bergen and the surroundings. There are a few mountains if you want to go hiking. Don't be afraid of rain if you go during winter though !

Laura is fun! Super good mood and energy. She is active and not afraid to try any kind of work. Also very tidy.

This girl was a pleasure to have as a helping hand. She is a really tough worker, with an eye for detail when its needed. Painting, scraping, cleaning etc did not scare her away easily. Highly recommended, and DO make sure you taste her tortilla de patatas!

I had so much fun along the way working with Bard. Bard hasn't been hesitant on helping with practical sides of life in Norway. That was a huge help for me. Amonut of work was split fairly to benefit both sides. Easy to follow through and flexible when needed. Ok ok. So Dario is a kind of super Workawayer that has a huge set of skills :D Carpentry, concrete, stone work, painting, fixing electronic stuff etc... and you can hand him about any type of power tool and he'll know how to use it. He ALSO makes the most amazing bean stew on this side of the galaxy. Maybe in all of the multiverse!

Samir stayed for a while and we became good friends :) He is easygoing, fun and has a lot of energy.
He is quick to start working, and is definetely very skilled at gardening and cooking. Oh the cooking.. you'll have to taste it if you meet him. The most amazing pizza's you'll have in a long time!
