  Staying here will give Workawayers the chance to experience life in a quiet, rural part of France. It’s a good place for people who enjoy peace, space, and hiking .
  We are often working and doing our thing most of the time, but I’m happy to chat about English or French culture, day-to-day life, and working on the land. Workawayers will mostly have independence, I will provide full training for when I am not around and am always contactable and when I'm around make sure you see some of the local area also

  Helping with the daily needs of our animals! This includes feeding, walking the dog, and general care for everyone. Even if its just spending time with them. 🐔🐴
  
  ​🌱 Gardening & Land Care
  Maintaining the beauty of the smallholding through de-weeding, and watering plants. During the summer, we focus on keeping the garden thriving and the land tidy. 🌻
  
  
  ​How we work:
  Couples/pairs only for this, so you are never alone. Volunteers have the freedom to work at their own pace and manage their day independently. Because life on a smallholding is varied, being self-motivated and proactive is essential. This is more of a holiday than a task based stay, but we really appreciate volunteers who can see what needs to be done and take pride in their involvement! If the animals are happy, we are happy 😊

  We can offer private rooms, or we have a larger room if you wish to stay together. You have your own personal space and privacy during your stay (and there's more than one bathroom!)

  The main local activity is really the forest itself, which is great for hiking and exploring. The nearest towns and markets are reachable by car and there is a beautiful beach and lake nearby, but otherwise this is a quiet, off-the-beaten-track sort of place, ideal for someone wanting to disconnect a bit. When possible, I take my Workawayers to the station and pick them up so they can travel to a nearby city like Le Mans to explore, or even so they can grab a connection to Paris to spend a day or 2 there. Paris is 50 minutes by train! Also it can be arranged I can take you to one of the local towns, so you can explore the area more. Always happy to find something that fits your interests!

  I'm not very tech savvy, but we do have fibre and there is a work desk available as well as booster in the room for full use of the WiFi.

  We have room for parking a standard campervan or caravan on our driveway if you wish to park up but are staying in the house and want a break from van life!
