Description
I'm a member of an Italian association funded by young volunteers who met each other in 2009 after the terrible earthquake of L’Aquila where they went to provide their services to the people in the tent camps. Since that experience, we have decided not to stop dedicating our time to other people’s needs, the closest and the furthest ones. As a support to the local community, we are active on many projects, we guarantee our joyful presence every week in the town’s old people’s home and organize cultural and awareness raising events. We are also taking care of a family house for children in Kosovo, through crowd funding, food collections and thanks to our visits every year for a period of time.
Moreover, each year the association organizes a fund raising event consisting of concerts, conferences, photographical exhibitions and much more. It is aimed at raising the interest of young people towards social commitment and a sustainable and aware way of life.
The 6th edition of the Festival will be from the 14th to the 16th of July, 2017.
Preparation and disassembly works will start on Monday, July 10 and will finish on Wednesday, July 19. The Festival will take place in a beautiful park, just outside the walls of the old city centre of Città di Castello (PG). You are more than welcome to join us in this amazing experience dedicated to friendship, solidarity, but also music, culture, reflection!

Every year a growing number of volunteers come to Città di Castello from many regions of Italy to give their help to make the festival possible! You will have the opportunity to meet people from other regions and countries and give a concrete help to a charity project by expressing and using your talents and inclinations (manual skills during the preparation, creativity during children activities, photographing during the event...).
You will learn how to manage and realize a big and no-profit event and above all how to work and live in group.

Volunteers will take care of Festival preparation, children’s shows, cleanliness and safeguard of the Alexander Langer park, table service for dinner, help at the associations’ stands, assistance during concerts and conferences, and much more!

Hébergement
Volunteers will be housed in tents: if you don’t own one, we’ll provide you with accommodation in
someone else’s tent. The camping area will be set up inside the park, which is a few minutes away
from the city centre and it has toilets, bicycles, and a camper parking area.
We will provide volunteers food and accomodation during their stay in CIttà di Castello!

During the ten days of the event, we will ask you to be present for half a day, in order to leave you some free time to visit the town and its nearby (within 50 km you can reach Assisi, Arezzo, Perugia, Sansepolcro, Anghiari,
Citerna, Montone).
