  Description

  We are a family of 4 humans (Justin, Ina, Matilda and Klara) and 3 pets living in Crouch End in North London. We have lived in our house for 12 years and in the area for over 20 years. We have all the benefits of easy access to central London (20 minutes on train and tube to Oxford Street) whilst living in an area full of parks and great walks. We are surrounded by really good (& dog friendly) pubs and some excellent restaurants. Our 5 bedroom house has superb views of Alexandra Palace which hosts some wonderful cultural events.
  
  Our pets include the elder statesman, Leonard (Cohen) our ginger cat, Martha (Wainwright) an 11 year old cockapoo and Florence (the machine) a 7 year old cockapoo. Our now grown up daughters were very young when we got the animals so all pets are very child friendly as well as being cuddly (though Leonard is a typical cat so wants affection on his terms).

  We will provide any house sitters with a list of our favourite pubs etc. We are looking for house sitting whilst we are away for Christmas so the dates are 20th - 29th December inclusive so means a Christmas in London.

  Aide

  We are looking for someone to stay in the house while we are away and take care of the animals. Leonard has a cat flap so comes and goes as he seeks fit so feeding and occasional patting are all that he requires. Martha and Florence will need feeding and also a daily walk. They are small dogs so there is no need to walk for longer than 45 minutes but they are very happy to walk for longer if you enjoy doing so. Cockapoos have a nice blend of having energy when they are out, but they are very content to sleep for long period during the day. We allow them on our furniture though a house sitter can choose not to allow it if they don't want. However that means they will miss out on Martha and Florence snuggling up to them which we enjoy! Martha and Florence can be left at home by themselves though we would not like this to be for longer than 4-5 hours maximum.

  Our offer is for someone to stay in our 5 bedroom home for the duration of the time we are away (20/12/2025 - 29/12/2025). They would need to commit to sleeping here, walking the dogs, feeding the animals and not leaving them alone for longer than 4-5 hours.

  While we are happy for people to host friends we would not like any parties or loud events as we are in a built up residential area.
