  Description

  ===========I am currently planning to travel during September and October and will need that period covered for house sitting and animal care===========
  
  I live on the Yarra River in Melbourne next to a State Park. When you walk out my side gate you can walk for an hour through the bush and along the river and be guaranteed to see amazing Australian wildlife and birdlife. There is a manageable garden that always requires some TLC, a robust and energetic dog that loves his exercise, a chook that delivers an egg almost every day, a short walk, totally along the river, to get to excellent coffee and whatever you would normally have with your coffee, and a lot of books, classics, academic and popular.

  The main cultural exchange is your ability to relax in a very beautiful bush environment, while still not being very far from inner city type amenities - cafes, library, etc. And, my library is extensive. It would be a good place to get some academic work or study done. If I am in residence, my background includes philosophy, literature, extensive travel, aikido and yoga.

  The basic help I am looking for is to look after the house, dog and chook while I am away, and to maintain the garden with a modest amount of improvement if that is in your skill set.

  I have a spare room with a bed - sofa and a desk. It is seperate from the rest of the house - ie, accessed from the verandah.

  Henry (3 ans)

  High energy, very powerful, very friendly. A Smithfield cross Blue Heeler cross Border Collie, so 3 working dogs. He has carved out his own running tracks around the yard, but I also give him 5ks a day running by my bike. It does take the edge off, although he would prefer to just chase the kangaroos.
