  Description

  I live on Gabriola Island in BC, Canada. I am in my 70s. I live on a small corner lot with apple, pear, quince, and plum trees; many types of berry bushes, and flower and vegetable gardens. I have two small greenhouses, a sun room, and a seedling growing area (grow lights) in a kitchen nook . Directly across the street there is a park with a rocky beach. 10 minutes down the road is a sandy beach and a beautiful forest walk. I eat a vegan organic simple whole food diet.

  My micro homestead provides with me with a good portion of my fruits and vegetables. Helping me would give you a good idea of what is possible in personal food sustainability. I like to perform at the open mics (I sing and play the flute). I shop at the farmers market on Saturdays.

  I need help taking care of my gardens, the lawn, and the landscaping. I would work with you. I harvest seaweed from the beach and leaves from the park seasonally. We would harvest from the garden, cook together and share meals. I could teach you about gardening, compost making, wildcrafting, and vegan cooking.

  I have good internet service and poor reception for cell phones. The bedrooms provided have desk or table top space. They are quiet and private.
