Description
Live in your own tiny home and help a family of three with outdoor chores, gardening, bush regeneration and beekeeping on a small rural property near Yengo and Wollemi national parks in the Hunter Valley, NSW. Being so close to wilderness, our place would suit those wanting to enjoy bushwalking or a quiet rural lifestyle. We have two dogs and a flock of chickens and are about to embark on a large landscaping project.

We live close to bushland and go on bushwalks regularly - so visitors would learn about the Australian bush (including wildlife and native plants).
Wallabies and other wildlife visit regularly - so guests would get a chance to experience Australian wildlife up close.
We have 5 beehives - and are happy to teach you beekeeping if that is something you are interested in learning (and if the timing is right).
Our family are active Landcare members. Guests would get a chance to join Landcare meetings (held in our home monthly) and help with tree planting.
Our home is a solar-passive sustainable home. It and the way we live would be of interest to someone wanting to experience sustainable living.Aide
Maintenance: oiling timber structures and painting.
Gardening: mowing and pruning.
Tree planting.
Beekeeping.
General tidying and decluttering. We are preparing our home for a grandparent to move in with us - so there's lots of decluttering and organizing to do to make space.
There's also renovating chores for those with building experience.Langues parlées

Hébergement
You will stay in your own tiny home. It is a self-contained cottage with a double bed, kitchenette and bathroom. It suits a single or couple (or a small family at a squeeze. Three of us lived in there while we built our home). You would join us in the family home for dinner in the evenings and we would provide breakfast and lunch for you to eat in your self-contained cottage. We also have a large bell tent we can pitch to accomodate a family.
Autres infos...
In your time off, you are close to Hunter Valley vinyards for wine tasting and nearby national parks for bushwalking.
We have push bikes for you to borrow or are happy to drive you to a nearby train station at Singleton where you can catch a train into Newcastle.Informations complémentaires
