  The Hosts don't speak english, so its essential for you to at least speak some German to be able to communicate on the farm.
  
  We are a family horse farm in the front Odenwald with about 40 boarding horses. The well-being and health of the horses comes first for us. Anita and Albert are the owners of the farm and currently do all the work alone. Anita is the contact person for the Guests and horse owners and has an eye on all horses. Whether a swollen leg or abnormalities in the horse's behavior, nothing escapes her eyes. She also teaches Natural Horsemanship. This is not only about fine horse riding and the horse-friendly communication, but also about the daily handling of the horse and to a certain extent also the worldview of the student, because most of the lessons that one learns with the horse are very often directly connectable to "reallife". Albert takes care of the maintenance of yard and machines. For him no Heunetz is too heavy and no ground too hard to set fence posts. We would appreciate YOUR support especially for the wintertime. The longer you can stay, the better! Two friends or a couple would also be welcome. Well behaved dogs or horses on request also possible.
  
  Wir sind ein familiärer Pferdehof im vorderen Odenwald mit ca. 40 Pensionspferden. Hier geht das Wohlbefinden und die Gesundheit der Pferde vor. Annita und Albert sind die Besitzer des Hofes und stämmen zur Zeit die ganze Arbeit alleine. Annita ist Ansprechpartnerin für die Einsteller und hat ein Auge auf alle Pferde. Egal ob ein geschwollenes Bein oder Auffälligkeiten im Verhalten des Pferdes, ihren Augen entgeht nichts. Sie gibt außerdem Unterricht im Natural Horsemanship. Hier geht es nicht nur ums feine Reiten und die pferdefreundliche Kommunikation, sondern auch um den täglichen Umgang mit dem Pferd und gewissermaßen auch um das Weltbild des Schülers, denn die meisten Lektionen, die man mit dem Pferd lernt, lassen sich irgendwie direkt aufs Leben unter Menschen übertragen.
  Albert kümmert sich um die Instandhaltung von Hof und Maschinen Ihm ist kein Heunetz zu schwer und kein Boden zu hart um Zaunpfosten zu setzen.
  Wir würden uns über DEINE Unterstützung für den Winter freuen, Je länger du bleiben kannst, desto besser! Zwei Freunde, oder ein Pärchen wären auch Wilkommen. Gut erzogene Hunde oder Pferde nach Absprache evtl auch möglich.

  On our farm we work with the horses according to principles of Natural Horsemanship. This is not about performance and faster-higher, but about the communication and a fair dealing with the horses. If you would like to continue your education in working with horses, or if you would like to establish your first contact with horses in other ways, then this is the right place for you. Lessons with your own horse and watching lessons and clinics is no problem. Since we do not have school horses, lessons with a horse may only be possible if someone agrees to make his own available. But also during the daily work you can learn a lot from Anita and Albert about the handling of horses, and the running of a horse farm. Near the farm there is a wine trail through the beautiful vineyards, as well as play and discovery stations in the woods for the younger hikers.
  
  Auf unserem Hof wird vorallem nach Prinzipien des Natural Horsemanship gearbeitet. Hier geht es nicht um Leistung und höher-schneller- weiter, sondern um die Kommunikation und einen Fairen Umgang mit den Pferden. Wer sich im Umgang mit Pferden weiter bilden möchte, oder den ersten Kontakt mit Pferden auf andere Art und Weise herstellen möchte, ist hier richtig. Unterricht mit eigenem Pferd und zuschauen bei Unterricht und Reitkursen ist kein Problem. Da wir keine Schulpferde haben, wäre Unterricht mit einem Leihpferd nur eventuell möglich, wenn jemand sich bereit erklärt, seines zur Verfügung zu stellen. Aber auch während der täglichen Arbeit kannst du von Annita und Albert eine Menge über den Umgang mit Pferden, und das führen eines Pferdebetriebes lernen. In der Nähe des Hofes gibt es einen Weinlehrpfad durch die wunderschönen Weinberge, sowie spiel- und Entdeckungs Stationen im Wald für die jüngeren Wanderer.

  Aide

  We are looking for someone who helps us in the winter (outside the pature-season ~ September-May) with the stable work. There are three big paddocks, each with about 10 horses, which we have to clean daily. The work can be physically exhausting, but eventually gets into your blood.
  Moreover the haystacks must be filled regularly. Both with help of the Tracktor, so if you feel like it, you are welcome to try Tracktor. Reliability and honesty are important.
  
  Wir suchen vorallem jemanden, der uns im Winter (außerhalb der Koppelsaison ~September-Mai) mit der Stallarbeit hilft. Es gibt drei Offenställe mit je ca. 10 Pferden, die wir täglich von Pferdeäpfeln befreien müssen. Die Arbeit kann körperlich recht anstrengend werden, geht einem aber irgendwann ins Blut über.
  Außerdem müssen die Heuraufen regelmäßig befüllt werden. Beides mit Hilfe vom Tracktor, wer also Lust hat kann darf auch gerne mal Tracktor fahren.
  
  Jeder wie er kann, aber Zuverlässigkeit und Ehrlichkeit sind wichtig.

  Hébergement

  Your home will be a small hut between the horses, which is affectionately called "The Container". A very simple accommodation. But sleeping to the sounds of the horses and the watchful ears of the dogs is a luxury of a different kind. Your kingdom consists of a bedroom furnished with a bed and a cupboard as well as an eat-in kitchen with dining table and a simple kitchenette. A shower with warm water and a toilet are also available. The latter is however shared by the Horseowners. Depending on the agreement you can eat with Annita and Albert, or you do your own thing. Your food will be paid in any case.
  
  Dein Zuhause wird eine kleine Hütte zwischen den Pferden, die liebevoll "der Container" genannt wird. Eine sehr einfache Unterkunft. Aber zu den Geräuschen der Pferde und den wachsamen Ohren der Hunde ein zu schlafen ist ein Luxus der anderen Art. Dein Reich besteht aus einem Schlafzimmer, ausgestattet mit Bett und Schrank sowie einer Wohnküche mit Esstisch und einer einfachen Küchenzeile. Eine Dusche mit warmem Wasser und eine Toilette gibt es natürlich auch. Letztere wird aber von den Einstellern mitbenutzt.
  Je nach Absprache kannst du mit Annita und Albert essen, oder du machst dein eigenes Ding. Dein Essen wird aber in jedem Fall bezahlt.

  Groß-Umstadt can be reached by bike in less than 10 minutes. A place with a beautiful old town, a great ice cream place, restarants and cafes, as well as different supermarkets and a weekly farmers market. Adjacent to the farm there are beautiful trails with woods, fields and vineyards, where you can walk with or without a horse and enjoy great views.
  
  Groß-Umstadt ist mit dem Rad in unter 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Ein Ort mit einer wunderschönen Altstadt, einer großartigen Eisdiele, Restarants und Cafees, so wie verscheidenen Supermärkten und einem Wochenmarkt. Angrenzend an den Hof gibt es wunderschöne Wanderwege mit Wald, Feldern und Weinbergen, Wo du mit oder ohne Pferd spazieren gehen kannst und dabei großartige Aussichten genießen.
