  • WHAT WE NEED HELP WITH IN OUR COMMUNITY :
  We have always a lot to do, to expand our infrastructure:
  # At the moment we are building one more a-frame house.
  # Next project is to build a little house for our children as some sort of ‚school building‘ for 8-10 children
  # besides this we are also hosting ceremonies and will have to build another dorm space such as a temple space that has a roof
  # updating the communial kitchen, building another space for this but also for the shower and toilets as we wanna move the communial rooms outside of the main building and have more extra space for guests
  ->>> so if you are good in construction work and a ‚hands-on‘ person your help you be highly appreciated aswell.
  
  
  …ABOUT OUR Community:
  We have 8 children (3-8y/o) and 3 babies under 2 years. We have a self organised forest ore school which is happening Mondays to Fridays 9-13 o’clock. Our local employee Reyna is taking care of the 8 children and each day it’s a parent‘s shift who has to prepare activities to support Reyna and give extra input. The work of the volunteer would be to join this group 4h a day , take care of the 8 children together withthe other 2 adults and if possible also to prepare some activities like body movement, singing, painting or other things like that. We need someone who is patient, grounded and able to deal with children in that age. Currently we also planning on splitting the group in the older ones who need a bit more input like reading writing lessons and the younger ones who can do more free play.

  Hébergement

  Depending on the situation with other guests we do have several rooms available. There is a tiny house, dorm, tents, camper van and more.. you can have your own sleeping space, use the communial kitchen, bathroom and toilet. There is wifi at the mainhouse.

  There are many beautiful events and place that you can visit arlound Lake Atitlan. We do also host ceremonies and something do our own parties on our amazing yoga deck Plattform with a view above the whole lake

  Our internet connection isn’t the best but if you come with a phone and give yourself a hotspot that should work. Allthough we had volunteers here that were digital nomads turned out they were more ok their laptops than with our kids and this isn’t welcomed here as you obviously still have to work 4h a day for the ‚Castillo Kids‘ Group
