Hello !
I am Chantal and I have lived in the Dominican Republic for 45 years. It was while working in tourism that I discovered the needs of young people from disadvantaged villages. I saw their potential and I therefore decided to help them through workshops, in order to develop the skills of each. From there were born the association Solaidom (Solidarity and Help to Dominicans) and the foundation.

Je suis Chantal et je vis en République dominicaine depuis 45 ans.
C'est en travaillant dans le tourisme que j'ai découvert les besoins des jeunes issus de villages défavorisés. J'ai constaté leur potentiel et j'ai ainsi décidé de les aider à travers des ateliers, afin de développer les aptitudes de chacun. De là sont nées l'association Solaidom (Solidarité et Aide aux Dominicains) et la fondation.

The capital is easily accessible by public transport. Guayacanes is located near San Pedro de Macoris, between Boca Chica and Juan Dolio.
Les volontaires bénéficieraient des échanges culturels et linguistiques riches que présentent les activités au sein de la fondation et auraient ici l'opportunité de laisser s'exprimer leur créativité dans une cadre paradisiaque.
Being myself a passionate person, I am looking for people who also live by their passion, since it is they who are the most competent and the most capable of transmitting beautiful things. Being forced to work in the capital in order to provide for the needs of the foundation, I need someone to continue my activity in Guayacanes. The Dominican Republic being a country whose economy is largely based on tourism, I use the theater as a fun way to allow local young people to acquire skills and knowledge concerning the history of the country, as well as the learning the French language. Although knowing that renting a room on Airbnb would help me cover the costs of the foundation, I can't do it because I'm not always there. Likewise, I had to close the solidarity shop that I ran for lack of help. I am therefore ideally looking for a couple who could help me welcome possible tourists, take care of the maintenance of the house, possibly help me resume the activity of the shop, take charge of workshops with children and young people from the foundation. I am looking for people who know and love to transmit, teach, create, as well as tinker, showing creativity and initiative.
Étant moi-même une personne passionnée, je recherche des personnes qui vivent également de leur passion, puisque ce sont elles qui sont les plus compétentes et les plus aptes à transmettre de belles choses.
Étant obligée de travailler à la capitale afin de subvenir aux besoins de la fondation, j'ai besoin de quelqu'un pour poursuivre mon activité à Guayacanes. La République dominicaine étant un pays dont l'économie repose en grande partie sur le tourisme, j'utilise le théâtre comme façon ludique de permettre aux jeunes du coin d'acquérir des compétences et connaissances concernant l'histoire du pays, ainsi que l'apprentissage de la langue française.
Bien que sachant que la location d'une chambre sur Airbnb m'aiderait à couvrir les frais liés à la fondation, je ne peux pas m'en occuper, n'étant pas toujours sur place. De même, j'ai dû fermer la boutique solidaire que je tenais par manque d'aide.
Je recherche donc idéalement un couple qui pourrait m'aider à accueillir d'éventuels touristes, s'occuper de la maintenance de la maison, éventuellement m'aider à reprendre l'activité de la boutique, prendre en charge des ateliers avec les enfants et jeunes de la fondation. Je cherche des personnes sachant et aimant transmettre, enseigner, créer, ainsi que bricoler, faisant preuve de créativité et d'initiatives.

All in a house less than 50 meters by the sea in Guayacanes, a village located 45 minutes from Santo Domingo. . However, I cannot provide the meals, for lack of means.
Une grande chambre avec un grand lit double, sa propre salle de bain et cuisine, ainsi que d'internet illimité. La chambre étant au rez-de-chaussée, l'accès est complètement indépendant du reste de la maison.
