  Description

  Hi, I am a friendly, helpful, practical person. I teach Yoga full time and I am open to sharing my home with someone who is self-aware, kind and willing to work.
  
  I appreciate solitude as I work with the public, so downtime is important to me, hence my choice to live rurally but the house & garden are big so I can’t maintain everything alone.
  
  The work is not too heavy, I just need consistent help with keeping the weeds from taking over, maintaining the cleanliness of the house and occasional house & pet sitting. Most of my time is spent working so a helping hand would be greatly appreciated. When I moved to my home I realised immediately that this place is very special and I say with absolute certainty that this is my favourite place on the whole planet, it is enchanted: big old trees, a stream running through the garden, a safe, beautiful & comfortable home. The Yoga centre here is gorgeous & we’ve built a lovely community even though it’s a rural place, it's testament to the progressive nature of the people here. Ideally our workaway person would have a love of nature, quietude, Yoga and cats :)

  My home is serene and in the countryside, we are PROPERLY RURAL, I also run a Yoga School here so it is preferable if the workaway guest is a practitioner and could then avail of some classes in exchange for the weeding, housework and animal care. I am not in a position to pay a monetary wage. We run regular workshops and classes here plus we are in the middle of a Teacher Training Course at the moment. Should the workawayer wish to deepen their existing Yoga Practice or begin & commit to a Practice, this is the absolute perfect place. If you choose to come here, you can treat it as an Ashram experience, upkeep of the property & help with housework in exchange for food, board & Yoga tuition.

  Aide

  I have a big garden and need help with weeding & maintenance to keep everything beautiful. Also I occasionally go away on work trips in the summertime and have 3 cats who require a human presence.
  
  It is important to clarify that I expect the workawayer to take initiative and be in charge of their own hours and life here, I don't mind when they help as long as the tasks gets done.
  
  There’s a different experience for every season here.
  Autumn:
  Work: general maintenance of house, workspace & garden. Some harvesting of what has been planted in the Spring.
  Downtime: evenings outside by the firepit gazing at the stars & musing about the nature of the universe. Yoga.
  
  Winter:
  Work: minimal outside work, concentration on household/workspace projects & holiday decorating.
  Downtime: cosy chats around the fireside, soft music, early nights. Yoga.
  
  Spring:
  Work: spring cleaning in the house & workspace and the beginnings of more outdoor work, weeding & planting.
  Downtime: Enjoying longer walks, the freedom of more light. Exploration time. Optional days away. Yoga
  
  Summer:
  Work: lots of weeding. Outdoor projects. Basic housework. Cat-Sitting. House-Minding.
  Downtime: (when we have the weather) long days in the sunshine. lots of friends over, social occasions here & away. Yoga.

  The house is big so there is plenty of privacy and space. The workaway guest would have a bedroom & bathroom to themselves. We are quite isolated, that’s part of the beauty of life here, I live alone, but have my teachers and friends coming to visit regularly at weekends, my home is nurturing and comfortable and always full of joy. I cook a lot and the kitchen is one of the most lived-in rooms of the house. My work schedule is varied so mostly you will have to cook your own meals, however all food is provided, I’m an omnivore, all diets are welcome and I can make separate cookware available for veggos & vegans.
  
  I don’t have processed food or sugar in the house so it’s important for the workawayer to communicate with me to get their dietary wants & needs met if they are interested in those food types. I haven’t got a microwave. I don’t watch tv. 3 gorgeous cats live here, they are part of the heartbeat of the house and we love them, as those of you with animals know, this means that some of the furniture can get a bit fluffy! so it’s good to bring a set of clothes that you can cuddle with the cats in and you don’t mind getting hairs on.
  
  I have experienced wonderful compatibility with the workawayers who have come here who also enjoy this way of living, if you’d like to be part of this home, it’s important that you know that this is the vibe. Straight up: I accommodate and adapt where possible but I cannot change my entire rhythm to suit someone who requires a different lifestyle to mine, so If you enjoy a relatively old skool way of life, then I’m the host for you and I look forward to sharing whole foods, peacefulness, long walks, being in the moment, proper Yoga & celebrating the value of the hearth. (We have good coffee & WiFi though of course!!😊)
  
  I find life here heavenly and therefore hard to believe that anyone wouldn’t love it as much as I do, however, I was made aware recently that it’s not for everyone, so please do make sure that it’s the right fit for you before you say yes, that way you’ll experience the kind of harmony that the workaway concept is built on❣️

  We are nestled in the exquisite countryside of West Waterford there are many mountains and forests to explore and it's great for cycling. There’s a bicycle here you can borrow. There are some small towns around with interesting historical buildings and our closest city is Cork just 45 mins away. I go into some of the towns regularly for groceries etc. and you're welcome to join me.
  To reiterate , we are very rural and there are no pubs/nightclubs nearby, this environment is conducive to healing and taking a break from the fast/stressful pace of life. If you are interested in visiting cities or tourist attractions in your spare time there are buses from nearby towns that I can provide a lift to if necessary when my work schedule allows it. It’s preferable if the workawayer has their own car if they wish to go away on their days off. I do not drink alcohol so it’s preferable if the workawayer doesn’t either.
  I can be chatty & sociable & I love that quality in other people too but I require space & time on my own as well or I tend to get overloaded, so I do appreciate a workawayer who respects the need for regular solitude and doesn’t expect a host to entertain them or keep them constant company.
