I had a lovely experience staying here! I really enjoyed my time with Vanessa, Síofra, Naoise and the dogs :). It was fun to be a part of this family for a while. The beach is close by , and the walks there are lovely. Síofra is creative, curious and fun to hang out with. Vanessa is lovely to chat to and a great cook. I recommend this workaway!

I stayed with Vanessa for 8 weeks and I could not have wished for a better host. This was my first workaway experience and if it always works out this great, then I can not remember why I was worried about staying with a stranger. Vanessa is a kind and understanding, warm-hearted person and she made me feel at home on day one.

Helena spent three months with out family and was a great addition to our home. She was very helpful, thoughtful and kind, very easy to get along with and we all miss her! Síofra had great fun playing with her out on the trampoline and learning Irish dancing, Helena is very go at it and very dedicated to her classes.

I spent about 3 months with Vanessa and her family and I had a very great time! It was my first Workaway experience and I am very happy with how it went. Vanessa is the best, she is really kind, helpful, relaxed and flexible. She gave me tips on places to visit, often gave me a lift even without me asking and gave me her bike whenever I needed it

It's a bummer she was always busy, I would have loved to spend more time with her and learn more from her about photography (she is very good!)
Vanessa's dogs are the cutest and very friendly, her cats are a bit crazy 😆
Taking care of Síofra was a nice task. She is very kind ("sharing is caring"!), sweet, clever, energetic, tough and funny. She loves to play with her Barbies and her Babies and to pretend to be a cheetah. It was never boring with her. But Síofra is also very self-confident and likes to boss people around. It was sometimes hard to get her to do certain things but after a while, when we knew each other better, it got easier because I learned how to handle her.
Vanessa was in College so I had to mind Síofra from 2pm when she got home from school until 6-6:30pm when Vanessa came home. On Fridays her Dad took care of her and every second weekend she was at his place, so normally I had the whole weekend plus Fridays free which was great because I travelled around a lot to explore Ireland.

I stayed at Vanessa's for three months and let me tell you: you couldn't ask for a better host. They are easy going, fun, very helpful and Vanessa will always make sure you're comfortable. Siofra is a clever, energetic kid that loves to play outside or make art she is really a character making you laugh all the time.

Vanessa is a kind person who made me feel very welcome in her home during my short visit. There is much going on, and Síofra is quite the adorable bundle of energy. I spent 16 days with Vanessa and her family. My experience is really positive.
I enjoyed looking after Sìofra and playing with her. She loves dancing and the horses!
One day, we visited Galway, where is a multicultural and colorful city!

I spent a month with Vanessa and her family and it was great! They’re all really friendly and helped me as much as they could, I learnt a lot with them. Every day was different and it was impossible to get bored. Furbo is really cute and I visited a lot of beautiful places like Galway.
It was a great first Workaway experience, I miss you all!

I have stayed for 3 months (September-December) with Vanessa`s amazing and lovely family. I had a really wonderful time there! I loved to play with Siofra. Vanessa was always there for me, gave me tipps for activities, helped me with language problems, she showed me how great Yoga can be, she gave me the opportunity to be creative and to work in her Art class. She taught me a lot about the Irish lifestyle. I will never forget the time :)
During my free time I visited so many beautiful places in Ireland und Galway is also very close to Furbo. So it was never boring because there is so much to do. I really enjoyed staying with Vanessa, her lovely daughter Sìofra, Naoise, Amber and, sometimes, Sìofra's father!
Vanessa was busy most of the time but she always had an open ear for any question and we had some nice conversations. Sìofra is a very happy child (most of the time), she was curious about everything I was doing and knew how to make
… read more me play with her. As I was there in July and she started walking the day after I left, she is probably running around the house now.
I also enjoyed my stay for the amazing countryside around, it's great for walking (or cycling). Besides, Galway is a nice town with music playing all the time and some nice places to have a beer or a snack! Unfortunately, the bus between town and Vanessa's place is quite expensive and stops by only a few times a day.
To sum up, it is a very nice place to stay, with a lovely family!
