  Hi! I live in the historic village of Eglio/Molazzana (Lucca), a peaceful place made of stone houses with a terrace overlooking the mountains. In my free time I play the guitar and enjoy cooking. Life here is relaxed; in the summer, there’s a restaurant and an outdoor disco just 6 minutes away if you want to go out in the evening.
  I only speak Italian, so this is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to practice the language every day! Translation apps work great at first.
  What I need help with:
  I am looking for hands-on help around the house, working at a relaxed pace and with flexible hours.
  Main tasks include:
  Clearing & Organizing: Emptying a shed, tidying up the cellar, and sorting items to dispose of (like old beehives and scrap metal).
  Light Maintenance: Cutting small trees or branches and general tidying of outdoor areas.
  Household Chores: Keeping the house clean and organized, plus preparing meals together.
  Nothing is rushed—we will organize tasks day by day based on weather and energy!
  Lifestyle:
  I'm looking for a relaxed cultural exchange to meet new people and chat on the terrace. If you want a peaceful mountain getaway with good food and great views, you are very welcome!

  Ciao! Abito nel borgo storico di Eglio/Molazzana (LU), un paesino tranquillo fatto di case in sasso con una bella terrazza vista montagne. Nel mio tempo libero suono la chitarra e mi piace cucinare. Qui la vita è rilassata; d'estate, a soli 6 minuti da casa, ci sono anche un ristorante e una discoteca all'aperto se la sera vuoi uscire.
  Parlo solo italiano (non conosco l'inglese o altre lingue), quindi è un'ottima occasione per chi vuole imparare e praticare l'italiano tutti i giorni. Per capirsi all'inizio basta un'app di traduzione sul telefono!
  Di cosa ho bisogno:
  Cerco un aiuto pratico per la casa e la gestione quotidiana, da fare con tutta calma e in massima flessibilità di orari.
  I lavoretti principali sono:
  Sgombero e riordino: Svuotare una capanna, sistemare la cantina e mettere da parte cose vecchie da smaltire (come vecchie arnie e ferraglie).
  Manutenzione leggera: Piccoli tagli di alberelli o ramaglie e piccoli lavori di riordino negli spazi esterni.
  Faccende domestiche: Tenere la casa pulita e ordinata, e cucinare o preparare i pasti insieme.
  Non si tratta di ritmi frenetici: ci organizziamo insieme giorno per giorno in base al tempo e alle energie!
  Stile di vita:
  Cerco uno scambio culturale sereno per conoscere persone nuove e fare due chiacchiere in terrazza. Se cerchi un posto tranquillo in montagna, buon cibo e una bella vista, sei il benvenuto!

  Hébergement

  I offer a spacious private room with a double bed and a single bed, with the option to add a second single bed (ideal for solo travelers, couples, or a small group of friends). Bed linen and towels are provided.
  There is one bathroom, which is shared with me.
  Regarding food, I provide all daily meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). We will often cook and eat together with full flexibility. If you have any special dietary requirements, just let me know in advance!

  Offro una camera privata molto spaziosa, dotata di un letto matrimoniale e un letto singolo, con la possibilità di aggiungere un secondo letto singolo (perfetta sia per singoli che per coppie o piccoli gruppi di amici). Lenzuola e asciugamani sono forniti.
  Il bagno è uno solo ed è condiviso con me.
  Per il cibo, offro tutti i pasti quotidiani (colazione, pranzo e cena). Cucineremo e mangeremo spesso insieme, con la massima flessibilità. Se avete esigenze alimentari particolari, basta dirmelo in anticipo!

  Transport & Getting Here:
  Eglio is a peaceful mountain village. There are local buses connecting the village, though schedules can be limited depending on the season. In any case, we can arrange to pick you up at the nearest train station upon arrival.
  Free Time & Surroundings:
  The area is great for nature lovers, hiking, and quiet mountain trails. In the summer, there’s also a restaurant and an outdoor disco just 6 minutes away if you want to go out in the evening.

  Trasporti e Spostamenti:
  Eglio è un paese di montagna tranquillo. Ci sono dei pullman di linea che collegano il paese, anche se con orari un po' ridotti/variabili a seconda della stagione. In ogni caso, per l'arrivo ci possiamo accordare per venirvi a prendere alla stazione dei treni più vicina.
  Tempo libero nei dintorni:
  La zona è fantastica per chi ama la natura, la tranquillità e fare trekking sui sentieri di montagna. D'estate c'è anche un ristorante e una discoteca all'aperto a soli 6 minuti da casa se volete uscire la sera.
  Regole di casa:
  Chiedo solo rispetto per la casa, pulizia e senso di responsabilità.
