Description
Hello, we are living in the Provençal Drôme, in Southern France at the foothill of the Alps in a very small village. We are an international family of 4 - Manuel + Lianna with Alaia (8) and Nahuel (6) and a cat - from Germany and Argentina and are living and working in an former typical sheep farm. In our big house we are making a living by welcoming guests as we have a Bed&Breakfast with 3 rooms and one holiday flat and also offer breakfast and diners with local products.
The house is located in a calm environment, where the nature is still pure and harmonic. If you love the countryside and the mountains this is a good place for you to visit. Just be aware that bigger towns are an hour drive from here.

Since we are a German/Argentinian couple you will be able to practice language skills in 3 languages.
You get an inside in the daily life of a Bed & Breakfast and Manuel can share with you his passion for cooking.
You can learn a lot about renovation (although we are not professionals) or maybe you have skills and we are open to learn from you.
Lianna likes a lot gardening and although she does not have much time, she would like to work outside with you.

Aide
As our home is an old typical stone house there are still a lot of renovation works to do. At the moment we are renovating our private part and need urgently helping hands. As we have two small children and thus not that much time whatever you like to do can help us.
The list is long: construction (inside and outside), gardening and improving our small organic vegetable garden (project to have a functional permaculture garden) , baby-sitting or cooking for our family meals if you like, small reparation works around the house, wood works, painting etc, etc

You need to love nature if you are coming here. Our region is great for hiking (starting right from our front door), cycling (Tour de France often passes by) and motorcycling. Moreover, this area is were most of the French lavender is cultivated and it is amazing to drive through the lavender fields when they are blossoming. The villages nearby are typical Provençal and great to visit.
From time to time we also drive to bigger towns like Avignon where we do our shopping; so if you would like to visit Avignon we could drop you off.
To get to our village you can either hitch-hike (some of our workawayers have done so and without any problem) from Avignon (1,5 hours drive) or take from Carpentras a special taxi which is not expensive and needs to be booked in advance. We are willing to help you with that if needed.
