Do you have a passion with teaching children?
Are you passionate, diverse with an international outlook?
Do you wish to experience pure nepali culture away from touristic areas and see a unique far western nepal?
Namaste, I am the principal of a primary school in Dhangadhi, farwestern Nepal. It is a developed private school with around 400 children from nursery to grade 8. You will find the kids sweet and respectful.
Dhangadhi is a safe city, though non-touristic, it is conviently located near several natural wonders. It is the only internationally awarded school in far westrern nepal by the British Council of 2012, Therefore we always try to include creative activities to keep the students internationally aware. The school is diverse in culture from around the 9 surrounding districts, all having their own uniquness.
We highly prefer volunteers to stay for at least one month.
I am a mother of two kids; one daughter in grade 4 and one son in college. And my husband, Deepak, also living with us, is a teacher as well. He is deeply inclined to spiritual practice and meditates daily.
We have an organic garden where we grow cilantro, radish, cauliflower, and others. We also have 2 mango tress, and a chicken.
Specifically, we are looking for workawayers that are proficient in English speaking and pronunciation and are willing to stay for at least one month.

I believe to grow myself and my students as a global citizen. My passion is do involve in intercultural communication and make the horizon of knowledge wider than ever ..
Within the school, Workawayers will be provided with a comfortable room with mosquito nets, laundry service, a private bathroom with a western toliet and a shower (hot water can be managed). Lunch and Dinner will be provided with 2 tea times, however, the kitchen is free to be used as pleased. Vegetarian meals can be arranged if preferred.
Dhangadhi is in perfect spot for sight seeing. It is within short reach from many amazing experiences such as:
The longest suspension bridge in Nepal, the largest swampy area in south Asia, a wildlife conservation area, a national park, breathtaking virgin mountains, to name a few. There is a nearby bus station about a 10 minute walk from the school.
Previous guests have really enjoyed visiting a nearby Tharu village, experiencing many aspects of their culture, riding around on a bullcart, relaxing in between two lakes and catching a glimpse of monkeys jumping about in the trees. The mountainous area about an hour away is also a favorite and since its beauty is preserved and unique, it offers an entirely different experience from the mountains in the more touristic areas and is home to a plethora of different species of birds and plants.
My daughter is very outgoing and loves new guests, previous volunteers always seem to find her amusing.
A few smaller activities which volunteers can do is playing Table Tennis on the school grounds, learning Nepali language or cuisine, or meditating at a nearby Osho Taboban, to name a few.
