Description
I own a small piece of land in Sicily, Eolian archipelago, Salina Island, Malfa Gramignazzi. The nature is incredibly beautiful and generous, but it is hard to cultivate: it is terraced and almost everything must be done by hand. Yet it is worth of, it repays with light, colours, scent and the beauty of an incontaminate landscape. I am trying to cultivate herbs, and I join a group of agriculture, but beside this there is still a lot of things to do: watering the flowers, cleaning the garden from the "malerbe" (unwanted plants) etc...

Those who come to work here will be able to get to know from the inside the life of a cohesive and kind island community, will be able to learn how to manage gardening under the guidance of experts and will enjoy community life with people with a high ecological and also cultural consciousness.
Aide
We are is a small agricoltural project, situated on the beautiful island of Salina in the Aeolian archipelago. We are implanting trees, medicinal herbs, hives in a terraced territory with dry stone walls, which therefore require special work and skills. Beside the work for starting the project, there is still a lot of things to do, with the gardens, the watering, the cleaning of the paths... Workawayers will not be helping with any product that is sold and any help is for our non-profit ecological project.

We offer hospitality in single rooms of a large and beautiful Aeolian house, and the meals provided are of high quality since the host is a skilled cook who uses only bio products

In the free time it is possible to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Salina and swim in the Aeolian sea, take exciting walks in the mountains (former volcanoes) covered with flowers and vegetation, or visit the other islands of the archipelago - Stromboli, Filicudi, Lipari, Panarea .. .
