Infos
 - Description- Our homestead is a permaculture inspired dream becoming reality on 1.5 acres just 15 min from downtown San Diego. Established in September of 2020 we are in the beginning stages of rehabilitating the land, building a community space and creating a food forest. We are planning to be food independent in three years, off the grid in 6 and enjoying every step of the way. We are focused on archiving and teaching self-sustainability, this is not a commercial farm, no products from the homestead are for sale.
On our homestead you will learn to build with natural materials like Cob and Adobe, establish and tend a garden, create soil, dig with a backhoe (and by hand :). Other specialized skills that you may learn: plumbing, framing, creating swales, building water catchments, establishing a food forest and many more useful and perhaps even a few silly things (like how to catch a chicken).
We have dogs, cats, chickens and rabbits. We need people that can see a project through to completion and who enjoy working with their hands. We love teaching, but our preference would be that you have some experience living on a farmstead or know the basics about tool usage and safety.

The tasks were always well explained and quite varied. The tents are spacious with privacy.
They also helped us a lot when organizing our trip around USA, making a huge difference in our final experience.
Best wishes to the proyect!
