Hi there
Our farm is in Preston, about 20 minutes inland from Ulverstone in NW Tasmania. We have a small farm and have been a large garlic producer in the past. Due to a couple of poor seasons we have scaled our garlic back to be small to rebuild. This excitingly means that we have a very rare free summer. This summer we are building a small cabin. So if you are interested in being involved in a building project please message us. We will be mostly focused on doing that in January. Hit us up.

We love having people from all around the world come and stay with us. We enjoy getting to know people from other cultures, our favourite activity being that everyone shares a traditional meal from their own country. In return you get a real and up close look at our local community. We make sure you are included in local parties and festivals, and family events.

Everyone pitches in to help with general upkeep of the property, cleaning and cooking meals.
We always have building and renovation jobs on the go for people who are interested.
The list of opportunities to help will vary depending on your interests and skill level, but could range from making beer, berry picking, tree planting, painting, sawmilling and pruning.

The farm is centred around the the old Preston Primary School. We live in the classrooms of the old school and have a large rambling house with a number of outbuildings. There is lots of space, with 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, and 2 lounge areas with fireplaces. We have a number of different room options, including some double rooms. Where you sleep will usually depend on availability when you arrive. You will have access to a separate bathroom and kitchen facilities and lounge area and we share a laundry.

There are lots of interesting and fun activities to do on your day off and in free time during the week, including caves, canyons, waterfalls, river swimming and other tourist activities.
The closest town is 20 minutes away, and we go there regularly, and can arrange for you to do any shopping that you need to do. We have vehicles available for use on days off.
Preferably long term stay (minimum 2 weeks), no smoking in the property.
