  Welcome to the low Irpinia halfway between Avellino and Salerno, near the park of the Picentini mountains. The village is called Montoro. We can accommodate in an apartment with a room and private bathroom, no more than two people at a time (heated in winter and cool in summer). No smoking in the house. The rather large house has a front garden and a family vegetable garden in the rear, other land that I manage and cultivate is located several hundred metres away from the house. There are numerous fruit trees, in particular hazels, cherries and citrus fruits; a dozen hens that we use only for eggs and ducks that help keep the grass cut. Most of the cultivated products are destined for self-consumption.
  
  Length of stay: from one to three weeks. Communal meals consist of mainly local food (we are not vegetarian but welcome vegetarians). Languages ​​spoken: English in a discreet way (but I'm getting better). In your free time I can accompany you on excursions in mountains that I know well, or alternatively a few kilometres away you can visit the city of Salerno, the excavations of Pompeii, the famous sanctuary of Monte vergine, even Naples is easily accessible by public transport. I have always enjoyed traveling, visiting and getting to know places and therefore I would be able to advise you well but my greatest pleasure would be to accompany you personally in discovering the local beauties; obviously this possibility is limited to the free time I have available. My name is Francesco and I usually take care of the cultivation and harvesting of vegetables and everything else, but I work actively with local farms in order to also exchange produce. recently I started breeding goats so very easily there will be the opportunity to learn how to milk.

  Benvenuti nella bassa irpinia a metà strada tra Avellino e Salerno, a ridosso del parco dei monti picentini. Il paese si chima Montoro. Possiamo ospitare in appartamento con stanza e bagno privato, non più di due persone alla volta (ambiente riscaldato in inverno e fresco d'estate). Chiedo di non fumare all'interno. La casa piuttosto grande ha un giardino sul davanti e un orto familiare nella parte retrostante, altri fondi di terreno che gestisco e coltivo si trovano lontani dalla casa a diverse centinaia di metri. Sono presenti numerosi alberi da frutto, in particolare noccioli, ciliegie e agrumi; una decina di galline che utilizziamo unicamente per le uova e delle anatre che mi aiutano ad avere il prato basso. Gran parte dei prodotti coltivati sono destinati all'autoconsumo. Durata del soggiorno: da una a tre settimane. Pasti in comune costituiti da cibo prevalentemente locale (non siamo vegetariani ma sono i benvenuti). Lingue parlate: inglese in maniera discreta (ma sto migliorando). Nel tempo libero posso accompagnare in escursioni in montagne che conosco bene, oppure in alternativa a pochi chilometri è possibile visitare la città di Salerno, gli scavi di Pompei, il famoso santuario di Monte vergine; Anche Napoli è facilmente raggiungibile con i mezzi di trasporto pubblici. Mi è sempre piaciuto viaggiare, visitare e conoscere e quindi saprei consigliarvi bene ma il mio piacere più grande sarebbe di accompagnarvi personalmente nella scoperta delle bellezze locali; ovviamente questa possibilità è limitata al tempo libero che ho a disposizione. Il mio nome è Francesco e generalmente mi occupo da solo della coltivazione e raccolta degli ortaggi e di tutto il resto, ma collaboro attivamente con aziende agricole del posto in modo da ottenere uno scambio. Molto recentemente ho iniziato anche ad allevare delle capre quindi molto facilmente ci sarà la possibilità di imparare a mungere. I VOLONTARI NON AIUTERANNO NELLA VENDITA DEI PRODOTTI.
