I had an excellent experience staying with Tina in the Outer Hebrides. The accommodation was great, the food was excellent, and the work/board setup felt fair. I picked up some new skills and friends along the way. I would definitely recommend this opportunity to others looking for a genuine Workaway experience.

Wow, I have no idea where to begin about my most magical stay with Tina on the Isle of Lewis - The Outer Hebredies.
For me, this was a truely life changing and special time, one which I will never forget and have now made a friend for life in Tina, her friends and her family.
Tina is an incredible lady who offers an amazing experience. She is
… read more super social, incredibly interesting and very kind. My work here was really varied, from helping to looking after 8 labrador pups (all know gone to great homes) to gardening, planting, cleaning her local air b&b and the house, to cooking and hanging out with the older dogs. My experience here taught me so much and my deep chats with Tina were second to none. She really became a fabulous friend to me.
The accomodation was quite simply, the most beautiful house I have every stayed in in my life (and I've travelled to over 40 countries) Waking up every morning to the most spectacular views and sitting together drinking coffee was something you only see in films. I had my own spacious bedroom with a TV and use of the rest of the house.
If you are not afraid to work hard, get stuck in, love to cook and be in nature then this is the place for you.
Tina, thanks for everything - I'll be back soon 😉Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Tina is an amazing person. She gave me the opportunity to meet two wonderful places and a lot of nice people. The first six weeks I stayed at her parents. They were so nice and active. By that time, I have been also taking care of Tina´s dogs, 3 generations of pretty, affectionate and energetic labradors. I loved them, I really enjoyed their company and taking them for walks.
After that, I went to the Isle of Lewis with Tina to help her with Breagha´s puppies (also cleaning and tidying), best job ever. They were sooo cute! Tina´s house is amazing, she has an incredible view and the design is perfect. She has an extraordinary talent. Also, we used to go clean The Bunker when the guests were gone, another amazing place she made. Everything there was so calm and precious.
Thank you so much for everything Tina! My first Workaway experience was perfect thanks to you! I hope we will see each other again! I am always using the necklace that you gave me as a gift.Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

I had a great time with Tina and Norman. I was able to work on their cottage in Portnaguran. We would higher than highly recommend volunteering with them, whether it be a couple weeks to months you would never regret it. The memories & adventures that we have taken from our time there will never be forgotten. We can’t thank Tina & Norm enough for everything they did for us.
The area itself is stunning. No matter what your into you will find something to see or do on your days off. Theres many many local hikes to the local theatre to short drives to gorgeous lochs & Glens. You will never be disappointed.

Our accommodations were simply amazing. Whenever possible, we were able to stay in one of their holiday lodges on site which are so cozy, comfortable and fully equipped with everything we could ever need. We were also able to stay at beautiful House which was simply incredible and felt like a dream. Tina and Norm provided us with plenty of groceries to cook with and we thoroughly enjoyed the meals we shared. They are great cooks and were happy to cook vegetarian meals for us.
The work was very fair, varied and well organized. We did changeover at the lodges and Foss House, took care of the gardens, did general maintenance, cleared a new path behind one of the lodges.... Towards the end of our stay, we were happy to look after the lodges and guests on our own while Tina and Norm went on a well-deserved holiday. We were provided with a detailed schedule and everything was organized perfectly. We were always able to reach them at any time if we had any questions or concerns.
The location is simply stunning, situated between two idyllic towns. We spent several days travelling and exploring the Cairngorms, the Isle of Skye, Glencoe, Loch Ness and everything in-between. Boy where do we start... We had the most amazing time with Tina and Norm, and honestly find it difficult to put into words the gratitude we have for the time we spent with them! The work is quite straight forward - gardening, maintenance, cleaning the lodges/house (and a few other bits and pieces), and Tina and Norm are clear with what they want you to do/achieve each day.
Tina and Norm - thank you so much for finding us and looking after us for the time we spent together. Thank you for the many lovely nights over a delicious homemade meal with interesting conversations, thank you for sharing all of your local knowledge (even though Ben may have been relentless with the questions!!!), thank you for letting us pester the pups constantly, and most importantly, thank you for your generosity.

If you get a chance to host Caleb grab it with both hands! His willingness to do the best job possible and his impeccable manners make him a pleasure to host. Nothing was ever too much trouble, every request answered with 'no problem' and the job just got on with. He was a little quiet at first but his confidence soon grew and he became one of the

I can't even begin to express how grateful I am to Tina and Norm for the opportunity to come and help out over the last month. They were both so welcoming and generous. The accommodations went far beyond my expectations and there was no shortage of good food in the house. The manse itself is incredible. As though pulled from the pages of history,

I hope everyone has the opportunity to experience this beautiful country, and there's no better people to experience it with than Tina and Norm. The work can be strenuous at times, but it's extremely satisfying to see the daily progress made on restoring this old home to its former glory. Martin is the resident foreman and he can be a bit intimidating at first with his Polish Special Forces background, but you'll quickly come to realize that he is a genuinely good person who has lived a far more exciting life than you or I. I don't know if there's a limit to how much I can write here, but I could fill several pages with the happy memories I have made with Tina and Norm. I'm so grateful that my first work away was with such wonderful people. If you get a chance to join them, take it. Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Rob was an excellent helper. He came into the house like a breath of fresh air and put maximum effort into everything he did. He was willing to have a go at any job that needed doing and confident enough to use his own initiative to complete tasks. Rob was always great company and went out of his way to take time to speak to my elderly parents and

I had the best possible first workaway experience with Tina and Norman. I lived in a beautiful big old manse house that we were helping to renovate where we had everything we needed and then some. Tina and Norman provide plenty of supplies to cook with and the work is both interesting and rewarding. With so much to see and do around the area, this

I had an incredible time in Aberfeldy with Tina and Norman! I spent two weeks with them, helping them restore some cabins to proper condition. It was a great opportunity to learn some new skills and see the Scottish countryside. Such great hosts, they made it easy to have an awesome travel experience.
