  Description

  Stop off with us during your New Zealand adventure.
  
  We are a friendly family of four, two adults and two girls.
  
  We live in a beautiful rural setting on a large piece of land with chickens, a duck called Button and a giant rabbit called Molly who loves pats. The view from our place is beautiful overlooking rolling hills to the Mahurangi Harbour.
  
  We are new to Workaway but we have been hosting happy travellers for many years, always with excellent reviews. The food and accomodation is always enjoyed! Take a chance with us, you won’t be disappointed.

  We have an interest in permaculture and have good knowledge of NZ plants and animals, pest control and gardening and composting in general. We are always willing to help everyone gain a greater understanding in these areas. And if you have knowledge you’d like to share we’re always open to learning more.
  
  We have travelled extensively within NZ and world wide and so we would enjoy hearing of your experiences.
  
  Rachel has an interest in environmental issues and in particular reducing waste to landfill. She also enjoys various crafts so could teach you something new if you wished.
  
  We are in an excellent position to explore the wider north Auckland area as well as the wonderful Regional Park at the end of our road.

  Aide

  We need help with general weeding and garden/grounds maintenance. There is a variety of jobs that we can mix up do you won’t get bored. And if it’s a rainy day and you don’t want to be outside there’s always house cleaning inside ready to be done.

  Hébergement

  Your accommodation is a caravan (your lounge) complete with tv and wifi, an insulated sleeping cabin with double bed and your own private outdoor area. Or if you prefer you can also sleep in the caravan.
  
  - Suitable for 1 or 2 people. Possibility for 4 people, contact us to discuss.
  - 5 hours of helping out a day in return for accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner (you provide your own snacks and treats). Bed linen and towels provided. (Working 6 days for every 7 days).
  - Non-smokers, no vaping.
  - Generally we host people for a week.

  Our place is 45 minutes from downtown Auckland towards the north, and only 5 minutes away by car to a beautiful all tide swimming beach.
  
  You can explore our land or the beautiful reserve at the end of the road. There are lots of interesting trips around the area which can be experienced using us as a central hub. We are happy to help you plan your stay and find local experiences that suit your interests.
  
  Your own transport is recommended, however we can pick up from Warkworth community bus station if need be.
  NOTE: we are not in walking distance of any shops or public transport. The closest shops are 15 minutes away by car. The closest beach is a 45 minute walk away. This is a rural location.
