Wonderful Meaningful Time in Copenhagen :)
I stayed with them for three weeks on the third floor, which had great views and a super nice breeze coming through the windows.
Right after my arrival, I immediately felt at home. They truly created a family-like atmosphere and treated me as one of their own.
Their kids, Niel and Ryan, were super
… read more friendly and always asked me to play with them, which I really enjoyed. That also made it easy for me to become a part of their daily life.
We did puzzles, played Nintendo, went for strolls to the nearby beach, played with dinosaurs, Pokémon, and swords, did homework together, and jumped on the trampoline—which even gave my jeans a bit more room :D
The work itself wasn’t heavy. Mainly tidying up rooms and tables, cleaning floors and bathrooms.
They also invited me to join them on outings to a theme park, a castle, and going to the city, so I've visited most apart of Copenhagen.
One of the things I loved the most was how they often offered me new dishes to try, like Indian sweets, authentic curry, dal, and chai. They even showed me how they cook! I also could try some traditional Danish bread and other delicious cuisines.
Definitely a place I’d love to come back to someday.
Thank you so much for all the beautiful memories.
Big love to Francis, Visha, Niel, and Ryan :)Laissé par l'hôte pour le workawayer (Aika)
Hosting Aika for three weeks was a truly special experience. She was an easygoing, cheerful, and genuinely kind person who quickly became a part of our family. Her enthusiasm for spending time with us—especially with my two kids—made her presence feel natural and effortless.

She surprised us with a delicious homemade Japanese curry and even taught me how to prepare home-style sushi and miso soup with tofu. Thanks to her, we've gained a new appreciation for Japanese cuisine—store-bought sushi might never be the same again!
Aika’s positive energy was contagious, and my son Ryan particularly loved playing Nintendo with her, jumping on the trampoline, and going for walks to the beach and lake. Her name became a constant in our household, and even after she left, my both kids still find themselves calling out "Aika" while playing Nintendo—an endearing sign of how much she meant to them.
Beyond the fun and games, we shared many engaging conversations over coffee, meals, and city explorations, making wonderful memories together. Aika’s warmth, thoughtfulness, and joyful spirit made her an absolute pleasure to host, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a truly enriching and meaningful experience.

And during the meals, I enjoyed having deep conversations with them about travel, culture, and so many things!
The kids are very knowledgeable, curious and fun ! I had so much fun playing Pokémon cards, jumping on the trampoline and various activities with them.
I highly recommend staying this wonderful family. Thank you for all the great memories. I'm really looking forward to coming back to Copenhagen in summer and seeing you all again!Laissé par l'hôte pour le workawayer (Sora)
