  Description

  We are a family of 5 (Claus 44, Elise 40, three kids age 5, 9 and 13). We live in a beautiful place on the countryside, close to Bø i Telemark. Here you wake up to the singing of birds, the early morningsun sets through the windows.You really feel surrounded by nature and can forget about the busy world for a second.
  
  Although we live a very normal life with kids, jobs and so on, we are very dedicated to eco living, and strive towards self sufficiency. We have a big garden and greenhouse. Unfortunately, at the moment we don´t have any animals (besides two cats).
  Staying with us, you will live in the lovely, old farm house next to our house. We will share dinner meals once a day, but otherwise you can use the kitchen in the old house and enjoy private meals. We are not vegetarians, but often eat vegetarian food. We would love for you to cook if you want to. Elise bakes bread and also work in a bakery.
  
  In september and october, we need help with gardening (harvesting and preparing before winter). We also need help with painting a garage and making fire wood.
  
  The area around Telemark has plenty opportunities of hiking. Mountain area Lifjell is 30 min drive away, but many shorter hikes are nearby. It can be useful with car, because the bus are not running often. But we can provide you a bike.

  You will be part of our everyday life, and have the opportunity to learn about growing vegetables and becoming more self-sufficient. In return, we hope to get to meet and know open-minded and curious people, and learn about their culture.

  Help out with growing vegetables in the garden and the greenhouse, various projects and household chores.
  You will be working with the family most of the time, and have the opportunity to learn how to become more self-sufficient.

  Accomodation is in the old farm house, offering a separate bathroom w/shower, kitchen and living room.
  The house has two bedrooms, and workawayers will occasionally have to share the house (not the bedroom) with visiting friends and familiy.
