  Hello!
  
  The first important thing to know is that we’re only seeking native English and Dutch-speaking girls 😊
  We would love to find a developed, energetic, enthusiastic, and warm person to spend time with our son Bhima Richard (almost 14) and our foster daughter Novi (16). About our family Bhima is in high school and is athletic, active, and in the middle of puberty — which is of course completely appropriate for his age. Novi has been his best friend since they were babies. She lives with us and would like to improve her English. As a family, we are enterprising and active. Lia is a lawyer and Robbie is a photographer. Together we run several businesses in Bali, including a Montessori school. We live in Sanur, a relaxed coastal town near Denpasar (South Bali). Occasionally, we also stay at our house in Lovina, in the North of Bali.

  Wij zouden het geweldig vinden om een ontwikkelde, energieke, enthousiaste en warme persoonlijkheid te vinden die tijd wil doorbrengen met onze zoon Bhima Richard (bijna 14) en onze pleegdochter Novi (16).
  
  Over ons gezin
  
  Bhima zit op de middelbare school en is sportief, actief en volop in de puberteit — wat natuurlijk helemaal bij zijn leeftijd hoort.
  Novi is al sinds hun babytijd zijn beste vriendin. Zij woont bij ons en zou graag haar Engels verder verbeteren.
  
  Als gezin zijn we ondernemend en actief. Lia is juriste en Robbie is fotograaf. Samen runnen we meerdere bedrijven in Bali, waaronder een Montessori-school.
  
  We wonen in Sanur, een ontspannen kustplaats vlak bij Denpasar (Zuid-Bali). Af en toe verblijven we ook in ons huis in Lovina, in het noorden van Bali.

  Daily schedule & role We are looking for someone who is somewhat flexible and available for the following times on a daily basis: 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Spend time with Novi (16), focusing on conversation in English in a relaxed, informal way (e.g., through word games, small talk, etc.).
  
  Between 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.: Teaching Dutch to our son Bhima Richard. (Some flexibility in hours is appreciated when necessary.) Approach and vision: After school, Bhima first needs some time to himself — what he calls “chilling.” The start time therefore depends on how his afternoon goes. See yourself as a coach to encourage him. He is going through puberty, which is very normal at that age, but it is important that you are able to deal with this. For us, the emphasis is first on unwinding and having fun; letting him do his own thing for a while and then doing something together, such as going outside, playing basketball, making music, or another activity. 🙂
  
  In addition, you sometimes help him organize his schoolwork and prepare his things for the next day. The goal is to keep the atmosphere calm, structured, and positive—without pressure or power struggles. Again, fun and enjoyment are number one. 😊 The key is balance: first connection, then structure.
  Dagelijks schema & rol Op dagelijkse basis zoeken wij iemand die enigszins flexibel beschikbaar is voor de volgende tijden: 15:00 – 16:00 uur: Tijd doorbrengen met Novi (16), met de focus op conversatie in het Engels op een ontspannen, informele manier (bijvoorbeeld door middel van woordspelletjes, gesprekjes, e.d.).
  
  Tussen 17:00 – 19:30 uur: Onze zoon Bhima Richard Nederlandse taalles geven. (Enige flexibiliteit in uren wordt gewaardeerd wanneer nodig.) Aanpak en visie: Na school heeft Bhima eerst wat tijd voor zichzelf nodig — wat hij zelf “chillen” noemt. Het startmoment hangt dus af van hoe zijn middag loopt. Zie jezelf ook als een coach om hem te stimuleren. Hij zit in zijn puberteit, wat heel normaal is op die leeftijd, maar het is belangrijk dat je hier goed mee om kunt gaan. Bij ons ligt de nadruk eerst op ontladen en plezier maken; hem eerst even zijn eigen gang laten gaan en daarna samen iets ondernemen, zoals naar buiten gaan, basketballen, muziek maken of een andere activiteit. 🙂
  
  Daarnaast help je hem soms met het organiseren van zijn schoolwerk en het klaarleggen van spullen voor de volgende dag. Het doel is om de sfeer rustig, gestructureerd en positief te houden — zonder druk of machtsstrijd. Gezelligheid en plezier staan, nogmaals, op nummer één. 😊 De sleutel is balans: eerst verbinding, daarna structuur.

  Hébergement

  You'll get your own private room with a key, so you can enjoy your own space. You'll share the bathroom with Novi, and possibly with another female workawayer. We'll provide lunch and dinner daily. Just let us know what you're eating and what you're not. The meals will be ready for you; all you have to do is heat them up in the microwave. Your only responsibilities? Doing your own laundry and keeping your room tidy. That's all!
  
  Je krijgt je eigen privékamer met een sleutel, zodat je kunt genieten van je eigen ruimte. De badkamer deel je met Novi, en mogelijk met een andere , vrouwelijke, workawayer.
  
  Wij zorgen elke dag voor lunch en diner. laat ons gewoon weten wat je wel en niet eet. De maaltijden staan voor je klaar; je hoeft ze alleen nog even op te warmen in de magnetron.
  
  Je enige verantwoordelijkheden? Je eigen was doen en je kamer netjes houden. Dat is alles!
