Description
We are a well travelled couple, Phil originally from London and Genevieve from France and have lived here for nearly 30 years. We really enjoy gathering with friends, music, arts, reading, yoga, singing amongst other activities. We would love to help you get the most out of your time here.

We are located just 100 metres from the beach and a 10 minute drive into Cairns - the Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, and the World Heritage listed tropical rainforest.
Aide
We will have moved back into our home - it was damaged in the floods of December 2023 and has now been rebuilt.
We would like some help with the gradual process of moving back into our home. That may involve the moving of some furniture and heavy lifting, cleaning, garden clearing, some replanting and general assistance in whatever comes up, so expect anything ! Please note that this is a tropical region and temperatures can be high as can the humidity level so some tolerance to the heat is needed. Our tropical environment also means that very often we have to share our dwelling with other residents such as geckos, insects, frogs etc... Of course, we do try to keep them outside but it's not always possible.

Hébergement
We have a 3 bedroom suburban house with a large swimming pool. Queensize bed in the bedroom and you share all other facilities with us. We will provide meals each evening when we are at home and an ample supply of food for you to prepare yourselves when we are not around. You will be, of course, most welcome to help with food preparation,

It's great to have your own transport as there are so many beautiful attractions, walking tracks and drives to enjoy in this region. There's an hourly bus service to Cairns and the bus stop is 100 metres away.
Holloways Beach has a beachfront cafe and another cool cafe venue to hang out at.

During their 10 day stay they comfortably completed all tasks including painting, a well needed "spring clean" of the house, high-pressure hosing, garden work and general tidy up. Our place feels like it has a new lease of life !
