  Description

  I am Lianne, am 54 and work as a professional housesitter & pet carer. My little home is on the banks of the mighty River Usk, in a 125 year old traditional Welsh terraced house, a 15 minute train ride from Cardiff - the vibrant capital city of Wales.
  
  I have a small black cat who I love with all my heart. Her name is Osa and I rescued 10 years ago whilst house sitting in Spain. She has been everywhere with me since but I feel she's getting tired of her nomadic life.
  
  I am often away housesitting a few weeks per month but never too far away nowadays. I would like to take a holiday occasionally too and would like some live-in care for Osa the Cat in my absence.
  
  She likes to be fed as and when and loves cuddling. Your day would be your own but I'd love it if you could come home at night to be with her. If you wanted the occasional night away - we could arrange this in advance to accommodate your adventures exploring mountains, beaches and cities. Wales has a lot to offer and Newport is a very well positioned base for exploring.

  I'd be honoured to show you around - Newport as a real working class Welsh city with a deepwater dock and a gritty, historic industrial past. It has a theatre, museum and art gallery, a cinema and a beautiful traditional indoor market next to a bus station to get you just about anywhere.
  
  You can walk to the Roman Ampitheatre and Baths Museum in Caerleon, bus or train to Cardiff or Bristol. Explore St. Fagans Welsh Heritage Museum, climb hills, wander through parks, visit the Wetlands, gaze in awe at Tredegar House and Country Park.
  
  It's a wonderful base to visit Chepstow, The Wye Valley & Forest of Dean, Hay-on-Wye famous for it's books, the roman city of Bath - all within one hour's drive away.
  
  Your own transport would be great but honestly - the transport links are superb.

  Cat cuddles and feeding. Doorman duties ensuring she is indoors during the night or bad weather. Water bowls kept topped up in various locations around the house.
  Indoor plant care, outdoor plants may need a water during summer months.
  For longer stays - light housework during my absence would be marvellous.

  Hébergement

  Your own bright, clean ground floor room with double bed will be made up already with clean sheets and cozy bedding. A large wardrobe, plenty of drawer space, adjoining lounge for your to relax in. Kitchen and bathroom to be shared with myself and 1 housemate of mine. He is 35, from Latvia and loves to chat. He is rarely at home so the place is mostly yours once I have left.

  Kitchen worktops, sink and equipment to be washed, wiped down and put away after each use.
  Toilet, bath and shower to be wiped after each use.
  Other than that - just enjoy the place as a base to explore South Wales.

  Fellow Campervanners are welcome though I'd love it if you'd stay in the house with the cat over night. A good opportunity for you to do your laundry, take a bath and have a break from the confines of the van. There is usually on-street parking with enough room for a small motorhome.

  Osa (9 ans)

  Rescued from hunters in Spain as a tiny kitten.
  
  9 years old, affectionate, gentle, easy to love and care for. Will sleep with you on your bed at night.
  
  Indoor and outdoor but via the back door only - never the front door- has a cat litter just in case.
  
  Likes to be indoors during bad weather. Needs to be called in at night for safety.
  
  I love her soooooooo much. She is used to company and cuddles.
