House sitting and cat care in Iisalmi, Finland

  Description

  We are a family living on a countryside in middle Finland. We’d need someone to take care of our house, 2 cats and few chicken during our holiday in june and july 2024. Schedule and dates can be discussed in detail.
  
  Our house is a 100 years old wooden log house with organic garden and vegetables surrounded by fields and forest. Lake with swimming possibility is 300m away. The closest city Iisalmi is 25 kilometers away, Kuopio 65km away.
  
  We are looking for someone (or a couple) we can trust to leave our house to. Main chores would be to feed the cats and chicken. Garden might need some grass cut now and then as well. House doesnt need much during summer time. Vegetables and eggs can be eaten. It would be great to get to know people who share the interest to nature and healthy natural living.
  
  We are trying to live eco-friendly lifestyle but are trying to take this easy-going and not too serious. Its so important to enjoy life and the little things.
  
  We have 4 children and speak daily three different languages; german, finnish and english. We are both more or less self-employed (photographer, web-/graphic designer and gymnastic coach/Holistic health coach). We like to think holistically and are somehow spiritual people, but still a totally normal family :).

  You have the possibility to stay in pure finnish nature in the mid of Finland surrounded by fields, forest and lake. The house is traditional finnish log house with healthy air inside.
  
  If you need peace with some farm atmosphere this might be a place for you. There are things to do in the garden if you happen to like such. Fresh salad, some herbs and vegetables as well as eggs can be eaten straight from the garden.

  The whole house would be in your use. The house has about 150-200m2.
  
  We have internet connection and possibility to explore nature very near.
  
  It’s recommended to have a car in use to be able to go shopping. There might also be a possibility to borrow our car.
  
  You could do one night trips around now and then. Animals can deal with that.

  Autres infos...

  You might wish to have your own car to explore the surroundings. There might be a chance to use our car as well but we wish you’d cover the gas costs in that case.
  
  Closest airport is in Kuopio and railway station in Iisalmi with connections to Helsinki and for example Oulu.
