Description
Hello! We are now living our tenth au pair experience and we are sure to go ahead... We are a simple family, we are five plus one: Andrea (daddy, 50 years), Chiara (mummy, 45 years) Giovanni Battista (son, born on oct 2014), and Ester (daughter, born July 2016) and Ettore (May 2021) an Leone out cute red cat!
We live at Chiavari, a small town about 30.000 citizens, located in the center of a very beautiful area called Tigullio gulf. Our home it's in a big apartment in downtown and you will have a private big room with very nice view. We live approximately five minutes walking by the beach and we know there are others au pairs and english speakers around, so you will be not alone. We are kind people and we are going to help you for everything you need. We want you to be able to help with the children and speak english with them playing together. We are here to answer to any questions!
We have had au pairs from the US and they can answer any questions you have about our family, Chiavari or anything else you might need help with.
Chiavari it's a lovely place to stay, it's around 30.000 citizens, so it's not a big city, but it's in the middle of a gulf called Tigullio where live 100.000 people, so there are always things to do, specially on summer time when many tourist comes.
Chiavari it's close to Sestri Levante, Cinque Terre, Portofino, Camogli, Genova… all touristic famous place in the world.
Furthermore you could take the train and get Milan in two hours, Firenze in three hours...
I'm (Andrea) employed for a shipyard, so my routine is to go to work! Lol! Chiara is a physical theraphyst and she work for less hours. In the afternoon, once she come back from the hospital, she go to take the kids from the school, then they use to spend some time walking around or playing at the park.
During the summer, when school are closed, the kids spend more time at the beach with the au pair.
In the weekend we use to go to the country house if it's possible.
We are looking for someone who likes to take care of children and who would like to teach english by simply playing, reading and spending time with a young child. The wa be mainly take care of Giovanni, Ester and Ettore.
You will have Saturday and Sunday free.

they can learn the Italian culture that is still strong and alive in the province. They can learn to cook, since we cook many different foods every day and they can learn to cultivate the land in the gardens we have.

Here they mainly have the opportunity to go to the beach, we live 500 meters from the beach, or make hiking: our region is famous because have amazing trails that cross the mountains overlooking the sea. Then you can have relax simply walking around, our towns are really pretty, just have a look on internet: Chiavari, Sestri Levante, Camogli, Santa Margherita, Monterosso, Vernazza, Portovenere...
