We are a family of three living in Kyoto: me (a pharmacist), my husband (He likes video games and manga.) and our son (5 years old).
We would like to welcome someone who loves children and can support them while enjoying spending time with them as our son's big sister.

In spring, we will show you places with beautiful cherry blossoms; in summer, festivals where you can see fireworks; in autumn, places where you can enjoy the autumn leaves; and in winter, Lovely snowy place.
If you like, we can take you to the library, the dentist, the local bakery, and other places that most tourists don't go.
Kyoto offers convenient access to both the big city and the countryside.
If you would like to enjoy both the city and the countryside, I highly recommend it.

    About helping-----------------------------------

-Taking care of my son and playing with him.
He is very active and energetic, and does not tire easily after playing all day.
He loves cars and trucks all over the world.
His favourite characters are Disney's Chip & Deal and Nintendo's Yoshi.

He does not speak English to Japanese speakers, so it is better if you do not speak Japanese at all or are a beginner.
Of course we welcome people with intermediate Japanese or above, but this is not a place where you can practise a lot of Japanese.
But if you have any questions about Japanese, please don't hesitate to ask me, as I will always do my best to answer.

    -Doing some simple household chores.
Washing dishes, folding laundry, cleaning the living room, etc.
The time needed for housework is about 30 minutes per day.

    About Daily Life---------------------------------

You are responsible for cooking your own breakfast and lunch.
Ingredients are freely available in our fridge and pantry.
If you want to eat something special/extra, or have eating restrictions/preferences, you will have to get them and pay for them yourself.
I (host mom) will cook dinner and we will eat together.
If possible, we would be very happy if you could cook a local dish from your country as we are interested in it.

You are responsible for your own personal care
(washing your clothes, cleaning your room, washing your dishes and putting them back where you used them, removing hair from the drain after showering, etc.).
Of course, use of the vacuum cleaner, washing machine, etc. is free.

Make sure you have valid medical insurance in Japan in case you are injured or ill.

    About your free time------------------------------

The rest of the time you are free to explore Kyoto, relax and read a book, etc.
Basically, on weekdays you don't have to work in the morning.
(Flexible arrangements may be requested during long kindergarten holidays or due to parents' work commitments).

Curfew is 24:00, but, my son goes to bed by 8.30-9pm every day, so please be quiet after that.

-----Could you please include the following in your first message?
    ・Introduction about yourself
・About how you became interested in Japan
・your childcare experience (age of children, gender, duration and frequency, etc.)

*We are currently looking for someone who can join us from February or March.(at least 6 weeks)
If you would like to start after April, please contact us once with when you would like to start and how long you can stay(at least 4months).
*If you are staying for a longer period of time, it is possible to take a holiday of 2-4 weeks if you arrange the dates in advance.
Feel free to discuss this with us.

    Autres infos...

Our home is conveniently located to transportation.
It is a safe residential area.
Many temples and shrines are located near our home, and various world and cultural heritage sites are accessible by train or bus.
Our home is about a 10 minutes' walk from the station.
Also, we can go to JR Kyoto station or Keihan Gion-Shijo station in about 20 minutes.
It takes 28 minutes from JR Kyoto Station to JR Osaka Station. Getting to Osaka is also easy.
We do not have our own car, so our main mode of transportation is by train.
If you can ride a bike, that's great, because we often go out on our bikes.
