  Description

  Our farm is located in the ruins of the historic Mansion. We live in an old vodka distillery, which is one of the very few buildings still remaining here, and we also run a restaurant located in what used to be an ice cellar. Our home is surrounded by rich history, beautiful parks, and peaceful forests. We also take care of a food forest, which functions like a community garden.
  
  Exciting news for Summer 2027!
  Next summer, from June 1st to June 4th, 2027, we are hosting a festival - We describe the festival as "earthly spiritual"—there will be plenty of workshops, live music, and many teepees. We also plan to do a lot of building beforehand!😊
  We are looking for volunteers who would like to help us out in one or more of the following areas:
  1.building and construction
  2.kitchen help
  3.decoration and styling
  4.area maintainance and cleaning
  5.creative activities with kids
  
  The festival takes place from June 1st to June 4th, and we need help starting at least one week before and one week after the event.
  You will have full access to the main house, which includes a bathroom, kitchen, and a cozy living room for chilling out.
  We share daily meals together. On very busy days, it would be wonderful if volunteers could step in and cook for the whole crew when hunger strikes!

  During your stay with us, you will have a unique opportunity to experience a blend of rich history, nature, and community life in southern Estonia.
  What you will learn and experience?
  Get hands-on experience in how an "earthly spiritual" festival ("Juured ja Tiivad") is built from the ground up—from construction and decoration to organizing workshops and daily logistics.
  Learn about our food forest (operating like a community garden), permaculture principles, and living closely connected to nature in the ruins of the historic Taheva Mansion and old vodka distillery.
  Gain experience helping out in a restaurant located in a former ice cellar, and share cooking experiences with fellow travelers and locals.
  Discover local Estonian heritage, folklore, and the peaceful rhythm of countryside living, while sharing your own culture, skills, and stories with our international community.
  Develop teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, creative, and welcoming environment!

  Aide

  We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us with our upcoming festival, which takes place from June 1st to June 4th, 2027. We need help starting at least one week before the festival (for setup and building) and one week after (for cleanup). You are also welcome before and after festival but then is most needed and most fun also❤️

  Teepee, where is nice wooden floor with madresses, possible to make fire. In the main house is possible to use kitchen , bathroom and toilet. In foodforest is sauna by the pond. Tenting possibility.

  Our home is located in historical place where is lot of ruins and also here starts trekking route. Also have free buses to Valga, Tartu and Võru towns. The border with Latvia is 2 kilometers away. Allmost every day we have Sauna what is really important to Estonians. Also we have bicycles to use for volunteers.With us you can learn lot of natural building and how to grow plants in north part of Europe. Also you can be part of creating food forest.
