I stayed with this truly lovely family for the whole of May this year and it ended up being one of the best months I've ever had! From the second I met Fanny, Ale, Noah and Enea I felt so safe, included and comfortable. It was so fun to share meals and chat together, I really learned a lot not only in a cultural sense but also about each
… read more individual member of the family too. They were always happy to introduce me to their friends and family (all of whom were SO nice, and very tolerant of my non-existent/minimal Italian haha) and I felt so valued and happy to be there :))
Fanny is amazing, she made sure I always had an incredible time whilst there, always giving me the best suggestions for day trips and activities - I went to so many stunning places whilst I was there! As well as being really fun and insightful to talk to, she's also an incredible chef and mother just to add to the list! Ale is also really great, he's incredibly funny and better at English than he thinks he is! Despite me not speaking Italian somehow I think we really got to know eachother and I truly learnt that good humour is universal! I was also lucky enough to stay a night with the family at Ale's education centre/summer camp which was so peaceful and beautiful, a really special memory.
The "work" asked of me was simply chatting/playing with the boys and walking Zampa (a good way to see the local scenery), both of which were really fun and don't feel like work at all!
The boys are very energetic and fun, and much better at most games than me haha, especially foosball! They understood pretty much all the English I spoke to them and can also speak an impressive amount too. Noah also tutored me in Italian a little bit and I really enjoyed learning a bit, especially about pronounciation :)
I honestly can only begin to describe how lucky I feel to have stayed with such an incredible host family! Before meeting them I had a feeling we would get on well, but I could never have predicted how much of an impact they'd have on me. I was sad to leave them and really feel as though I've made good friends for life. Grazie mille!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

I stayed with Fanny, Ale, Noah, Enea and Zampa (the dog) for the month of May. Had a wonderful time. They are fabulous hosts who go above and beyond with making you feel at home and helping you with anything. I am so lucky to have found them and would recommend to anyone who would like to stay with a family. I spent time with the boys teaching me
… read more some Italian and them learning English. Because Fanny is an English teacher their English is very good. The work was pretty relaxed, just helping out around the home, walking Zampa in the beautiful scenery and spending time with the boys.
I was very happy to find a host who was also able to accommodate to my dietary requirements (vegetarian, 90% vegan)
Thank you so much for having me and being so accommodating. I would definitely recommended to other WAs and if you have any questions please message meVous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Emma stayed in our family in May for 1 month. We have spent an amazing time together: Emma Is polite, gentle, cheerful and very patient with the boys, who literally loved her. Her own room was always perfectly tidy and she was so helpful in the house and walking our dog Zampa. She Is independent during the time when we are busy at school or work

Fanny, Ale, Noah and Enea have been the most amazing hosts and friends to me during my stay in Aosta. From picking me up at the airport to cooking me dinner every night, they have gone above and beyond to accommodate me and involve me in all their family activities, road trips and nights in. They have truly made me feel like part of the family and

Fanny has welcomed me like one of her own and is incredibly thoughtful - putting me in touch with local English speakers, introducing me to her friends and always making sure I have what I need.
Fanny is an English teacher so is very easy to talk to and has some amazing stories from all her travels. Noah (8) was also my translator on numerous occasions and has better English skills than most adults! Enea (5) also learns super quickly and knows a good amount of English (especially when it’s about pokemon). Ale (the dad) also speaks a fair amount of English and makes up for any missing vocabulary with some very expressive acting
The “work” involved in staying with the family is very minimal - mainly playing with the boys and walking Zampa when needed.
I have enjoyed some amazing cooking, woken up to beautiful scenery every day and learnt more Italian than I thought possible.
Thank you so much Fanny, Ale, Noah, Enea and of course Zampa!

Rachael joined our family in October and her presence was even more positive than we could imagine. She is independent, careful, good with children, helpful for the whole family. I could not have been luckier with my first workaway experience. This family are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. They welcomed me with open arms into their family and I felt part of their family straight away. I had the opportunity to meet their extended family and friends and they could not have been any nicer and welcoming. They
… read more are very open minded, caring, fun, interesting, loving and so much more, I learned a lot from them. The boys are very well behaved, independent, easy going and really cute (and can speak English). I had the most amazing Italian summer with them and I will be eternally grateful to them for giving me such an amazing opportunity and experience, I saw lots of Italy and picked up a bit of Italian. The mum (Fanny) has travelled a lot and I could listen to her talk for hours about all her crazy and amazing travels and experiences. She is an amazing mum and looked after me like one of her own children. However she is not your average mum, she was more like a great friend to me when I was there. I felt comfortable and safe with them always. The dad (Ale) is a a very funny character and will make anyone who he crosses paths with smile and laugh. They live in the most beautiful place, it looks like it is straight out of a painting. I could write pages upon pages about how good this family was to me and how amazing my experience was, but I wont. All I can say is if you get the opportunity to go work with this family, take it, you will not regret it! If you have any further questions about my workaway experience, do not hesitate to contact me, I would be happy to speak with you!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.
