  Description

  We have a sweet cottage available in exchange for pet/plant sitting and some light maintenance work coming up, a perfect writer's retreat opportunity in the mountains of British Columbia.
  
  Would you be interested in staying in our cozy cottage for a month+, with a couple chores (1-2 hrs daily) as an exchange?
  
  Where: Slocan Valley, BC
  
  Opportunity: perfect place to write a book, retreat, wander the beautiful land which has river access, enjoy views and quiet, lots of privacy, lie on the ground and do nothing…
  
  Exchange: feed our two horses twice a day (take 10 min. each time), and keep our very friendly dog company (all he needs is food/water, the occasional cuddle, and will accompany you on walks), water deck flowers every 3rd day, and houseplants 1-2x the entire stay. As we live on an acreage the exchange may also include some fixing jobs, mending fence posts, landscaping work.
  
  So, it’s the perfect scenario to have lots of time to yourself while having to go outside and move once in a while 😊

  The cottage is on a gorgeous land with trails and river access, splendid views and lots of peace and quiet. It is in a rural valley, with a bike trail running through it. Lots of places to hike, swim, explore nature. 45-minute drive from one of the cutest towns in BC (Nelson), artsy, cafes, farmers markets etc. 10 km either direction from villages with small grocery stores.

  Feed our two horses twice a day (take 10 min. each time of throwing hay over the fence), and keep our very friendly dogs company (all he need sis food/water, the occasional cuddle, and will accompany you on walks), water deck flowers every 3rd day.
