  Description

  We are an active, friendly, and outdoor-loving family of four: Giulia (me), Michele (my husband), Adele (born in 2014), and Leonardo (born in 2018). Milou is our beautiful cat, living with us since 2025.
  
  We live in Viareggio, a beautiful seaside town in Tuscany, close to Lucca and Pisa and only about 100 km from Florence. Viareggio offers the best of both worlds: wonderful sandy beaches and the stunning Apuan Alps just behind the town, making it the perfect place for anyone who enjoys nature and outdoor activities.
  
  I am an osteopath and run my own practice, while my husband is a computer scientist and researcher. As a family, we love spending time outdoors, whether at the beach, hiking or climbing in the mountains, cycling, or simply enjoying nature together.
  
  We are looking for a kind, responsible, and motivated au pair to become part of our family and help us with our daily routine. We would prefer someone who has experience with children, is practical and independent, speaks fluent English, and enjoys teaching English through everyday conversations and activities with our children. We are looking for someone whose main motivation is to support our family and enjoy spending time with children, rather than someone whose primary goal is to travel. Of course, we encourage our au pair to explore Viareggio and Tuscany during her free time, but we hope to welcome someone who genuinely enjoys childcare, is committed to the role, and sees the cultural exchange as an important part of the experience.
  
  We would like our au pair to stay with us for at least one month. We can offer a comfortable private room in our home, where she will have her own personal space while being part of our family.

  You will benefit of real-genuine italian experience. Viareggio is located in Tuscany, one of the most beautiful and famous regions of Italy. We plan to travel in the nearby, giving to you the possibility of visiting cities like Siena, Lucca, Pisa and Florence.. the heart of Tuscany and the roots of Italy.
  We also love outdoor activities, you will discover nice places between the sea and the alps, you can join us during hicking and bike rides.
  We also love food, but most of all we do love healthy food prepared by us (all types of foods). You can help us on preparing healthy dishes for our sons, and you will have the chance to taste the "italian cooking way".

  Aide

  We are looking for a motivated and responsible person to help us with our daily routine and household tasks. We would prefer someone who has experience with children, is practical, independent, and speaks fluent English, preferably as a native speaker. The role also includes caring for our two children (born in 2014 and 2018) when needed.
  
  We value a positive, collaborative attitude and are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to adapt to changing circumstances. Occasionally, we may need our au pair to adjust her daily plans to accommodate unexpected family needs, and we greatly appreciate someone who can do so with a proactive and cooperative approach.

  We are native Italian speakers, but we can communicate comfortably in English. Both of our children have been learning English, and one of the main goals of hosting an au pair is to help them improve their language skills through everyday conversation. We are looking for someone who is a fluent English speaker and who enjoys talking, playing, reading, and carrying out daily activities with the children in English, so that they can develop their confidence and communication skills in a natural and enjoyable way.

  Hébergement

  You will live in our house. The house is made of a ground floor and a generous basement floor with a bed room a bath room and shower for you. The basement is a nice, cozy with a fire place and wood-based oven ready for home-made pizzas. We offer a place to stay and food.

  We encourage you to take time to explore Viareggio and the beautiful surrounding area during your free time. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the beaches, discover charming Tuscan towns, and experience both the sea and the nearby mountains.
  
  We will be happy to help you plan day trips and give you practical advice on the best places to visit and how to get around using public transportation. If you enjoy cycling, we may also be able to provide you with a bicycle to use during your stay.
