  Description

  I am a single father living in an old house in the suburbs of Paris, inside a forest. I have a 4 year old and an 8 year old, who can both speak english after a semester in California. I am looking for help with childcare -- picking them up and speaking english to them, and providing them with meaningful encounters !
  
  The kids are very curious and the house, a former 17th century farm turned hunting pavilion is in a beautiful place, in a large forest with a big garden. It is a short bike/bus ride to the train which goes to Paris in 15-20 minutes. The Seine is also nearby, and the city center is close. I am an academic working as a professor in Paris and commute there most days.

  Our family is well-traveled and open-minded. There are also a lot of musical instruments around, as well as bikes for everyone. We are close to Paris and all it has to offer.

  Aide

  I work late sometimes, and am a single father, so I would need pick up from school, taking the kids to some activities sometimes, and sometimes also dealing with the dinner/nighttime routine. Speaking English with them is a plus. They are enthusiastic and a lot of fun, and also well-behaved. They are used to adults and to adapting to new situations -- they're just coming back from a semester in the Bay Area in the US !

  I am fluent in French and English and can converse in German. The kids are French and can speak English.

  Hébergement

  Depending on the situation, we offer a sofa in the living room or a bed in my home office, both of which can have two persons. We can offer also office space. We have a large kitchen with full amenities.

  We can offer a bike for use -- this is definitely the best way to get around as well as get to the train to Paris. There is also a local bus. There is also parking if you have a car. Friends and family might also be around -- we try to keep the house open as much as possible. I play the piano and my eldest plays a lot of violin.
