  Description

  The place is a family house (cabin type) located in the middle of the mountain in Sasaima, Colombia. This is a center that promotes integral human development and enhances mental health through artistic activities. One of our main objectives is to provide therapeutic spaces to the rural community where art is seen as a moderator to boost human growth. This is a pioneering institution located in a rural area in Colombia seeking the support of friendly and dynamic people to fulfill its social and missionary purpose.

  The place offers a pleasant space surrounded by nature where volunteers can connect with themselves while contributing to our social project and the local community. Likewise, volunteers may also get in touch with locals, practice their language skills, have fun getting creative in our place, boost their artistic vein, and learn about mental health issues in our workshops and seminars.

  Aide

  We require the support of friendly, committed, and flexible people who want to contribute to the place and the community. Volunteers may choose the most suitable or comfortable tasks according to their interests and profile. Currently, we seek support in the following areas:
  
  • Help with cleaning tasks (home)
  • Help with the maintenance of the place (outside)
  • Help with gardening
  • Help with care (feeding) of pets (6 cats, 4 dogs).
  • Help with kitchen tasks for the inhabitants of the house (2 people + volunteers if there are any)
  • Language exchange with people from the house or with from the community (English, Spanish, German)
  • Logistical support in implementing art therapy workshops with the Sasaima community (kids, youth, women).
  
  
  Specialized activities that require qualified help (professional profile)
  • Web page design
  • Strengthening and promotion of social networks/marketing
  • Elaboration of handicrafts or decoration of the headquarters (murals/artistic painting)
  • Support in the design of Art therapy programs
  • Yoga classes to be offered to the community

  Hébergement

  This is a family house (cub type) located in the middle of the mountain in Sasaima, Colombia. Volunteers can have their own room and/or shared room with other volunteers (depending on the availability of rooms and the number of volunteers to date), make use of the kitchen and all common spaces (multiple workspaces inside or outside the house, living room with television, natural pool, hot water shower, laundry room). The place has internet access.
  
  We will provide up to three meals per day depending on the helping hours and tasks. We would agree on who will be responsible for cooking.

  The place offers a space full of green and tranquility where you can listen to the sound of the water and birds, use the natural pool inside our headquarters, go on ecological walks, or swim in the river that is only 5 minutes away.
  
  Sasaima is a small and cozy town relatively close to Bogotá (80 km away/two hours by car). Its average temperature ranges between 24 and 28 degrees Celsius. Sasaima has an important eco-tourism activity and is close to other tourist sites of interest such as Villeta, Guaduas, La Vega, and Facatativá, whose climate is very warm and where there is a variety of ecological activities and extreme sports. There is the possibility of arriving by public transport.
