Description
We are a married couple. My husbands son is staying with us 2 to 3 days every other week and we have a loving dog that loves pets more than anything else.
Have you heard of DIY? That's what we do with most things. We are building pretty much everything ourselves. We will most likely provide a private room and basic food to prepare your meal or cook it together.

In March Bill & Fabienne visit Fabienne's family in Switzerland. Jasper is eager to lead the start of our new property Homestead.
Background:
Five years ago, Fabienne introduced Bill to Workaway and since then we have hosted almost 40 travelers (Germany, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Italy, Namibia, Canada, Argentina, Lebanon, England, and the United States).
We built a pool, a koi pond, a minigolf course, art projects, landscaping, gardening, flooring, tiling, roofing! If you're a DIY person, this is your place.
We build international friendships, create amazing memories, and we learn and grow together.
What it will be in 5 years, we can only dream! Let's create ideas to make a magical new place that we can all share in.
Our friend Jasper is an experienced Workawayer. There's just so much to say, all of it good and wonderfully unique. His genuine energy and intentions shine through in everything he does, making him a joy to be around.

Aide
A few things to save your time and ours:
- We can only accept single or couple travelers (no kids, no pets)
Homestead is our newest project. For Phase 1: we need help transforming the big, 1.5 acre lakefront yard. That means landscaping and creating infrastructure for irigation. There are no alligators to bother you while clearing out the vegetation in the lake, we promise.
You will be staying on our lakefront property with our tiny volunteer team headed by Jasper. You'll be staying close to downtown Orlando but it feels like far away from the default world.
Requirements:
- Intermediate English level (We need to be able to teach/explain you things you don't know yet)
- Follow instructions
- Be proactive and handyness is a plus
- Put in 20 h/a week
In return
- A house, yard and lake to play around
- Basic foods and staples (while we love meat and cheese, we prefer volunteers to supply their own)
- Anything we make in our veggie garden
- Young energy and friendships

The time we are not working we go paddle boarding, swimming, volleyball, spend time with friends, go to concerts or any sports event in the area. We do have a bus station close to the house if you want to go on an adventure yourself.
