  Description

  Hello beautiful people from around the world,
  
  We are Pavlos and Thekli, two ex-workawayers who also became workaway hosts:)
  
  We now live in a beautiful town called Ayia Napa on the east coast of Cyprus with some of the most astonishing beaches of the island with crystal clear water and golden sand.
  We live in the family house of Pavlos with our beautiful cat Prana. Pavlos’ mum lives upstairs together with her cat.
  The house has a wonderful big garden with many carob and pine trees and an olive orchard from which we make Olive Oil every year. On the back garden there are some citrus trees and a few other fruit trees together with two raised beds we made for our vegetables (at this period the beds are inactive due to extensive travelling).
  
  We value nature and sustainability and we try to maintain the garden as organically as we can.
  
  We are looking for workawayers that can help us not only with physical tasks but are also eager to share themselves and their passions. To join us in dance, play around a fire, in truthful conversations and authenticity. To fully experience this life by celebrating it together:)

  Depending on our activities and local festivals you might get an insight in the traditional Cypriot way of life.

• 

  Aide

  We need some general help with the whole garden ie. pruning, weeding, creating and maintaining a hot compost pile etc and some general help in the house (assistance with cooking, cleaning and tidying up the common areas of the house)
  Later on in October-November we will want some workawayers to help us with the olive harvest.
  
  We ask you for help for 24 hours per week in exchange for 3 meals per day and accommodation. Working hours vary according to the weather. We usually start working at about 8:00 and have breakfast around 10:00. Then after the rest of the hours we do according to weather and other activities we have for the day.
  Breakfast and lunch we are all eating together (except the days off). For dinner cooking, an arrangement can be made according also to your preferences. It is important for the kitchen to remain tidy and clean at end of the day.

  Hébergement

  We offer you a comfortable place to stay, laundry, hot showers, internet access and other facilities. Depending on availability you might have your own private room (double bed for couples) but you can always put up your tent outside in the garden if you prefer:). Bathroom will be shared with other workawayers. We ask you to respect the place and keep the areas clean.
  
  Also we operate with a mindset of sustainability, being conscious of our energy and water consumption, we try to reduce waste and use of plastic and chemicals.
  
  We also provide you with three meals a day (which might be prepared from volunteers). Breakfast and lunch we eat together, dinner you might need to prepare your own (non-coordinated). We mainly eat vegetarian with most dishes vegan. We avoid dairy products (especially cow products) but we eat free range eggs and sheep/goat yoghurt. We try to eat organic and healthy as much as possible.

  Cyprus is such a beautiful island. Even though small there is so much to explore. The distances are very short thus on your days off you have the possibility to explore not only Ayia Napa but the whole island. From mountains in the center of the island, to beaches all over the Island.
  
  In this area besides the beautiful beaches of Ayia Napa/Protaras that you can go for swimming, snorkeling or just chilling, there are also nice hiking routes. In addition there is nightlife in the summer season where you can go for a drink.
  
  To get to the bus station in Ayia Napa center it is about a 35 minute walk (though many times we might be able to just drop you off either to a bus station or to the place itself).
  
  In the morning we try to start our day early. But before getting to work, we like to meditate and take time to connect with some morning practice and you are welcome to join us.
  We go to the beach all year round, so on some sunny days (not all because usually it is always sunny :P ) we will be hitting the beach and work around it :P
