Description
Hello workawayers.
We have a 5 acre block with some cattle, pigs, dogs and a cat. Our family loves the outdoors - enjoying hunting, swimming, the gym, surf lifesaving club, fishing, walking.Ross is a fencer and I am a primary school teacher. We have four children: Summer is 17, John is 15; two older children Louann and Billy and a grandchild.
We live in a 1920's bungalow situated about 400m from Waiotahi Beach, about five minutes drive from Opotiki and 35 minutes from Whakatane.
We are looking for workawayers who have experience in painting and /or hanging wallpaper. We also have other jobs that we require help with such as housework, gardening, mowing the lawns...
The workawayers need to be happy to share the cooking of meals and the clean up afterwards, sorry we do not have a dishwasher!
There is accommodation in a bach about 70m from the house: table, fridge, 2 armchairs, double bed, shower. Some of my parent's gear is also stored in the bach.

Our property is very close to a beautiful beach.
Opotiki is a small town(about 6000 population) offering outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, cycling, diving, swimming, walking/hiking.
Mild winter, great Summer.
The Hopper bus service runs between Opotiki and Whakatane/Tauranga 2x week, Monday & Wednesday. Departs 8am and returns at 4.45pm.
The intercity bus runs daily to Whakatane, Rotorua etc leaves at 10.30am and returns approx 4.15pm.
